I noticed on eBay he does confirm that kit is brushed the £160 one.. but he also sells a more expensive kit with a bottle battery for £360 which uses an brushless crank motor. Brushed kits won't last as long eh, but you might be able to service it if you know how?

Interesting.. that guy on eBay who sells them made a couple of videos demonstrating how easy the gears change and how powerful the crank drive is..it looked like a motorbike! But I think he was using the 48V 400W system he also sells.

Glad you said that, I was looking at that kit overnight and thinking to myself, hmmm maybe that is a better option for my Mezzo to avoid messing up the gears. I think I will stick to original plan. Also I'm not keen on how it looks anyway the crank drive.. I know professional ones look better...

All these slide-on slide-off LED lamps seem woefully underpowered to me, they're ok for letting people know you're there but not good for illuminating pathways in pitch black darkness. There should be a mega bright lamp which can light up the entire pathway.. I've seen those handheld torch...

I've had them since about May but have only used them for jogging and haven't done much of that because of a knee prob! I do wear them in house but haven't washed them yet, so that will be the real test ;-) They seem pretty well made though because the material is like that stretchy nylon stuff.

A great little camera for mounting on bike is the MD80 too.. you can pick them up on eBay for about £7-£10.. it's only the size of a thumb and weighs about 45g so you can mount it just about anywhere (rear view for example) and get some unusual angle shots... it's not true HD but it's better...
