What gadget, product or thing makes your life easier?

Today, while repairing and improving the robustness of a frayed power cord on a vacuum cleaner, it got me thinking of things that I probably could not do without.

For me, at the moment, one of the top things is heat shrink tubing. I've used the stuff on countless repairs, electrical insulating and weatherproofing.

It's simple, but such an ingenious product. Plus, I love to watch it shrink when using my mini heat gun.

Insulating tape always looks like a bodge, compared to a nice piece of heat shrink.

my brompton, in this year alone practically every single thing i own have broken down, frequently catastrophically, inbetween all that i invariably findmyslef serenely floating along on the brompton, its indescructible
