    Handle bar raise

You have various options; Moving spacers from the top of the stem to the bottom of the stem (some people suggest keeping between 3-5mm of spacers at the top of the stem - I think this would only apply for bikes with carbon steerers. Yours is probably steel or alloy, so you shouldn’t have an...

Bike not moving when putted on the ground

Won’t you still have the issue of the freewheel unscrewing itself if you are planning to keep the drive unit on the left-hand side of the bike? The flip flop hub works when you take the wheel out of the frame and flip it around in the frame.

If you squirt wd40 between the grip and the handlebar (use a very thin screwdriver blade to pry the grip away from the bar), job takes neer a minute.

Bike not moving when putted on the ground

Looks good. Looks heavy, and with the batteries and rider, will likely be 110kg plus. I like the dutch bike look. I have done a couple of front wheel conversions with rear rack batteries. Once you get it moving, make sure the brakes are up to stopping it!

    Replace freehub or wheel?

Yes, Shimano and SRAM cassettes are interchangeable. Campagnolo are the odd-one-out.

Electric VS Just Highly Efficient Regular Bike?

The Boardman is a pretty good hybrid bike to start with. If you are just enjoying riding around at 15kph, this is easily achievable on your current set-up. However, if you are keen on going faster/further, then an eBike might be the way to go (particularly if you ride into headwinds/up hills...

Hi, Anyone know how to reset trip meter?

You can reset the trip odometer and time by pressing and holding the up and down arrows on the display for a couple of seconds once the unit is switched on. If you mean clearing all trip data, I think you will need to do a full display reset. You can download the manuals for the LCD 5 at...

Are you thinking about a drop-bar (racing) bike, or a flat-bar hybrid type of bike?

    Lightest possible conversion

Regarding duty and vat - generally, the duty payable is around 3.5% for eBike kit, payable on the cost of the goods plus shipping charges. VAT is payable on the duty inclusive costs. So, on a kit costing £200 including shipping, you will pay £7 in duty and £41.40 in VAT.

    Kit suggestions

You have a great bike to use as a base for conversion. I would use a 201rpm rear hub (good torque for hills plus the speed you are looking for), pedal assist sensor, 36v 10ah battery. Add a controller and handlebar display and you will have a great little system - for around £350. Are you...

    PAS sensor (KT-V12L) install issues

Unfortunately, changing the bottom bracket will solve one problem, but may give you one or two there issues to resolve! If you are planning to use a longer bottom bracket to give you more space to install the sensor, this will push the front chainrings further away from the bike frame. You...

    PAS sensor (KT-V12L) install issues

Something like this - an 8-pole PAS . Available on a well-known auction site for a few quid. Check connector compatibility with your controller. You do have to remove the bottom bracket to locate the sensor collar. The magnet disc should slide onto a square-taper bottom bracket. These...
