    Holiday Pottering

Got a thorough soaking on this ride tthrough the New Forest, the bike stands up well to the wet weather though, when I used to commute on it I covered many miles in similar weather and never had any issues.

    Holiday Pottering

The eBike has really enabled us to get around more from the motorhome, in this case to the pub for lunch! Still amazed how well that front wheel hub motor pulls.

Some great stuff to explore around Lymington on the bike. I was impressed how easy it was to ride along the shingle spit with the full power on.

Help! Removable ebike parts and security. Leaving displays on or off the bike?

I agonised over this when I first got my eBike. I used to remove the battery and plaster the thing with all types of locks, take everything out of the panniers etc. It got such a faff that I found myself taking the car instead...... Now it is several years old I have mellowed and just use one...

    Holiday Pottering

Arrival in Lymington and a bit of a ride around to find the venue for a course my wife was attending - having the ebikes made camping and riding in a viable alternative to more expensive accomodation :)

    Holiday Pottering

Yes, one of the things I like is that it means you to seek out interesting things more local to where you are camped rather than just the big tourist attractions.

    Holiday Pottering

We stopped off near Oxford in our motorhome and I used the ebike to have a bit of an explore around the countryside near the campsite. Amazing how much of interest you see when you have time to dawdle....

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

All good advice, the bike was bought secondhand though (albeit only a month old with only 99 miles on the clock) I did consider just leaving it and checking it over myself. In the end though I decided on a visit to the dealer. I agree they almost certainly didn't do much.

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

I am really enjoying it, I've even ridden it in the rain a few times. It's certainly saving me a lot of petrol! Range is an issue though if I need to do anything other than my regular commute. I nearly came unstuck when i took it for its initial 500 mile check over.

The joys of throttled ebikes/scooters in Spain! Come on England get with the times!

Do they have good provision of bike paths over there then?

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

That's the world famous Mr Ginge! Probably absolutely nothing there he just likes looking through gaps. Spends hours in the house with only his head outside through the catflap.

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

    Been to work a few times on it now and getting used to it, a very different experience to eBike riding! did a little video review here;

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

Went out for a quick ride last night - initial impressions are good. Back in the car today for the commute since I feel it would be wise to get a little more familiar with it before tackling rush hour traffic.

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

I think the Zero is a bit of a different league from the Super Soco, looking forward to trying it though. My commute will be about a 30 mile round trip too. Just not using the bike for it since I changed jobs - that hour makes all the difference

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

Thanks for the comments - got a bit carried away and bought one off eBay at the weekend. Got it for £1600 second hand as the seller was moving abroad, this years model with only a handful of miles on it. Don't think that's too bad really as I paid about £1500 for my Kalkhoff ebike a few years...

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

I've recently changed jobs and whilst my commute is roughly the same length I'm finding it much harder to commute on my Kalkhoff ebike. One reason for this is that its all on road and not dedicated cycle paths like my previous commute. The other (and main) reason is that I have to be there an...

    Attitudes of non-ebikers

I've only had the occasional remark along those lines and it doesn't trouble me at all, I use my ebike to go to work, I'm just commuting not competing with anyone so how can I be cheating - I'd teleport if I could! Where I have encountered difficulties is when my wife has been using an electric...

    Lost Mileage

I've been commuting on my Kalkhoff Pro Connect 9G for a couple of years now and the controller was recording a mileage of just over 4500 miles. A couple of weeks ago I went over a bump and the mileage reset to zero and is now showing about 90 miles. Any idea what might have happened and if...
