    Number Two

I now have a VERY BIG (zut won't fit in the battery box...*) RC power supply which is finishing a 10 Ah Graphene pack as I type. Charging at 1C the Multistar packs puff ever so slightly, the Graphene packs don't. 35 min from storage to full voltage (4.15 V per cell) on the Multistar and 31 min...

I have an SP12-NCX on order after riding down a gravel road the other day felt that having front and rear suspension at my age... o_O There are cheaper ones but it has the best press. ergotec has just made a clone I notice in their 2017 catalogue, before they just made up and down pogo stick...

    Kalkhoff Sahel Compact Impulse 8?????

Orbea and BH are Spain's main two bicycle manufacturers. My vote is for the Winora, better tyres, handlebars turn out of the way, pedals fold, Yamaha motor with decent sized double chainwheel (6 gears possible) and the integrated handle at the balance point for lifting it in and out of trains...

    The new best headlight

It has been modulated recently to take into account e-bike batteries. So independent battery powered lights no, wired from the main battery yes.

Bicycle helmets reduce risk of serious head injury by nearly 70%, study finds

I read this and had a quiet chuckle because it is a study done by two statisticians who studied other studies to find a statistical trend. Their study was sponsored by people with an agenda and the result they returned was the one required. Which just goes to show you can make numbers do...

special edition UK KTM Macina, with drop bars

I too prefer the Giant, double chainring useful around here, rack integrated into the mudguard on the Quick-e+ which I prefer to the Road-e, flat bars and bar ends are more my thing these days.

Power supply autopsy: A condenser (? composant which looked like a brown chewing gum rather than a tiny coke can) has failed, spewing grey goop (is that word copyright free now Gwyneth?). I had bet on a capacitor failing so I lost that bet... <pays self 1€> I have chosen to go with an R/C 540...

    Mid drive

I'm with d8veh, depends on the hill in question. Now that I have a few 100 km under my belt I would say different not better. Hill climbing is all about gearing so I would say that the Giant bikes with double chainwheel and Yamaha motor would probably be better in my conditions than the Bosch...
