    Brexit, for once some facts.

That Renault holds 43.4% of Nissan capital for example? And the French govt still holds 47% of Renault capital...

Wiring a brake-cut out to controller question

I also have a controller with mystery wires o_O I have a cable that came with the 09 controller that looks like that. There are two twin wire brake connectors but those wires will be spliced and only one pair will come out on the controller end. They should be yellow and black. I think that...

Unbelievably bad experience with a Haibike SDURO Trekking S RX

Nope a French thing, s-pedelec is Dutch, German, Swiss, Austrian... French law changes next year with new type approval. We still don't know what the helmet law will be, for the moment it is motorbike helmet only which is why I don't have one (a moped with pedals).

Unbelievably bad experience with a Haibike SDURO Trekking S RX

You can ride a moped, I know people who have. And if it is registered and insured in France it is a moped not an s-pedelec, they don't exist here before next year...

Keep seeing a Meijs Motorman leccy moped Frinton-on-Sea way

Do you mean (gasp) that Harley Davidsons don't steer well? Not such a problem on a 50cc machine which must struggle to reach 75 km/h downhill with a following gale. Would work for a 2 kW electric conversion limited (by law) to 45 km/h too I guess.

Unbelievably bad experience with a Haibike SDURO Trekking S RX

https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F24042 The bike is under 12 month guarantee? The bike shop fixes the brake. What they are saying is that you knocked it and broke it, it isn't a faulty part so you need an expert to look at it, the same that look at cars after accidents...

From the details: Range 45 km/h version 50 - 65 km Battery Lithium-Ion / 1,5 kWh That is 30 Wh per km which is in a par with the numbers we see from pedelec users with big motors. This is in the Netherlands...

It wouldn't destroy the look of it if you had a discreet battery box and no, please, not the abomination of a faux motor! @craiggor yours is a pedelec not a moped! They handle better with the weight down low (thinking of my Aprilla Leonardo compared to Honda Spacy) @d8veh I am with you...

The link... http://www.meijsmotorman.com/ Why, oh why when you have all that space would you want to put the battery up so high? 1.5 kW means quite a few kilos of cells. So down low in a discreet box and use the false tank for storage - rain gear etc.

Heathrow v Gatwick v Stansted airport expansion

And you got it to fit in such a small camera! :) I only have photos of the bits being trucked through the small town where I used to live in the Gers but have you noticed that because of the size it appears to be moving really slowly compared to smaller planes? Interesting trick of the mind.

Raleigh Motus Cross bar. Is upright ridiing style possible

OEM versions I guess. The lever on the brake is an unpleasant surprise! I would complain about that. Never leave home without your Torx :)

    The new best headlight

Your iMax is calibrated? My iCharger clones are off by 0.02 V but there is a calibration option to fix that. 4.17 V is quite good, my Samsungs after 18 months are at about 4.14 or 4.15 V balanced.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Different cultures but common history if you please! At least that is what is taught in secondary schools the world over. That is our advantage, a common history, and the history of the Americas was created by Europe, including the slavery bit and the genocide of indigenous populations. They...

Ridged forks instead of springs ?

I had a rigid steel fork on the old bike and am loving the change to a cheap spring front fork. I have a condition where my arm muscles "pump up" and become hard as rock with the vibrations and the rigid fork did that to me when I got to about 50 km, I have never had that problem since. Also got...

    Computer Networks

Careful! Don't use ports that are already assigned! You need to know which ports are available on your router. You may have to activate them if your ISP has done the right thing and actually done (gasp) some security lockdown... But you are probably safe there, they don't seem to care too much...
