If you want a bike that will get you up the hills without pedalling you really need a motorbike, or a none legal e-bike.

Normal bike shops stock pedelecs as a token gesture for their suppliers. If you want a pedelec you really need to go to a specialist pedelec supplier.

Rob do you think a none powered bike would be easier to ride than yours in eco? I've ridden mine in eco when I've realised I'm not going to make it home with any battery left if I stay in higher settings. Eco up the hills seems to just about make up for the heavier bike for me.

Have a look on say Wiggle find yours and read the reviews if there are any.

There's only really the display unit you can check now. All the other connections down by the motor require some disassembly. Sorry I can't be of further help.
