Did you notice how the seat is forward of the bottom bracket, eek.

KTM Macina dual hs - the eagle has landed!!

Something similar I expect, probably a fair bit higher at the top, a massive 654% range which is over twice what my 8-speed hub has, and I certainly wouldn't find that lacking on an ebike. Perhaps a KTM site lists the ratios?

KTM Macina dual hs - the eagle has landed!!

    A internal 3-speed hub with an 8-speed cassette ;)

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

I found it a bit odd too, my experience has been that had I been healthy I'd have been faster on an ordinary bike, save for perhaps some of the steeper climbs (just)

    GoCycle G2 at Redbridge

The Gocycle was the bike that got me interested in electric bikes, so it does have its uses, a desirable bike I'd have as a show piece if I had money to burn.

    Thank you Kudos 4 Redbridge!

These bikes did get good reviews, however that seat-post is exactly the same as on my £300 Cyclamatic.

That does sound like they limit the power on the hub-geared bike, or they're factoring in the losses that do occur in a hub gear. It will be interesting to know which it is?

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

I wrote that out in a post right at the start, but didn't post it. Walking is fantastic for getting fit and keeping fit. I was a big walker in my past life, well actually I still am compared with an average person. Steve getting fit isn't something you can just do this year and then forget...

That was aimed at Flecc, hence the bit of his post I quoted.

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

Now I'm wondering, come on you have to tell us what they are? Mine is a 14 year old Micra, proving I'm certainly no snob.

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

That's a very sensible approach, I dipped my toe into ebikes with the cheapest bike going, at the time I didn't really have a clue how I'd cope on a bike. So for sure the cheaper bikes have a place, I'll be much more demanding than a none cyclist who hasn't ridden a decent bike before. My cheap...

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

You and Steve are so wrong on this point. I'd like to think you will at some point in the future come and admit to being wrong once you know more about bicycles. In Steve's case it is very clear he has a lot to learn about ebikes and bicycles, and he openly admits that. It was the snobbery...

    Kudos-KTM Roadshow,Manifold Trail,Derbyshire,April 13,12.00-17.00

If my memory is correct this climb from the Manifold trail up towards Wetton is the steepest climb in the area, once through Wetton you would then drop back down onto the trail again and back to the tea rooms...

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

The same as a Sturmey Archer, one cog at the front and one cog at the rear, 8 or 11 gears inside the rear hub. There are also 7 gear versions. None of the pictures show a motor, just the hub gears. It does of course mean the motor has to be either a crank drive or in the front wheel. There's no...

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

I don't think She is. I mentioned the Rose. With regard to your 21 gears, there will be some overlap to some gears. I run the Shimano Nexus 8 speed hub (think modern Sturmey Archer) and the Rose I linked to runs the later 11 speed version of the same hub. Mine has a very simple twist change...

Getting fit again on a Cyclotricity Stealth

I find being as fit as I can be helps to some degree with the effects of the illness, in exactly the same way a person who isn't ill will feel better if they exercise. Very few of the people I know with this illness exercise, most even claim it is bad for us to do so, sadly that means they can...

    My new bike

Probably in case it somehow gets caught in the disc, although I don't think that's possible. Is that a 17" frame? if so how tall are you if you don't mind me asking? and how are getting on with the cut-off point? does it keep you below 16 mph or is it easy to pedal above that speed without you...

    My new bike

I was just drooling over the photos again. I think the front wheel quick release would look better swapped over to the other side if it's possible.
