Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

I thought it was quite helpful to know that if you squirt slime in yourself, there's a chance you might gunk up the valves a bit. Valves going 'dodgy' by the slime going through them rather than being faulty (which would be very unlucky if they were both the same) in the first place. Gaz

    Cyclotricity Revolver or Carerra Crossfire

Hello & welcome Alex :) Why not cast your net a bit wider and have a look at the other bikes available from suppliers who advertise on here. The likes of Woosh, Wisper, Juicy and Kudos all have bikes in your price range, and you really ought to try lots of different bikes before making your...

    Hi from Perthshire.

Greetings Euphony :) That's what you call low mileage! Why not just check the nuts and bolts are tight, lube the chain, charge it, get on it, and ride it?:D Gaz

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

Nope, can't agree with you there. Just sounds to me like you've got a hill, and need to get the right bike for it. Even an eejit like me knows the GTech (and probably the Vulcan) is not going to be the bike for you, so at least you're asking questions rather than rushing in. Where's the hill...

Bloody lazy motors, when are they ever going to learn!

Longevity of electric bikes in general - A bit sceptical.

You seem to be asking about time. My wife's Wisper 705SE is about seven years old, and doesn't look it at all. Mind you, it's only done about 200 miles! :D My Whyte's only 10 months old, so I can't comments otherwise. Gaz

    Haibike quality issue

That's not something I'd be able to explain I'm afraid. If I were to guess, I'd suggest that grit in bearing grease will turn it into what is essentially a grinding paste. A long time ago, I used to use grinding paste for re-seating valves into cylinder heads on cars, and it's quite surprising...

    Haibike quality issue

Given that we've seen this bike past its axles in mud, I'm not so surprised. It doesn't take very much ingress of grit to erode bearings. Different strokes for different folks, but maybe the demands on the bike are not 'normal' either. Gaz

    Brian's GTech. Part two.

Yep, I still do it from time to time  I also rode into a hedge/bracken/nettles a couple of days ago while looking up admiring a buzzard. I'm normally quite focused on the quality of the road surface in front of me, but it was a nice quiet country lane  Gaz

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Gits  Inspired, I went out tonight just after sunset. Not far. 12 miles up the Cuckoo Trail to Hailsham and back. The bits I didn't like were twofold (on an otherwise brilliant ride), firstly there sometimes seemed to be more flies than air :( And secondly, there's an underpass at the...

    IGH gears vs. derailleur

Derailleur for me. Simple to maintain and adjust. Not the end of the world to replace if it all goes wrong. How many of the Tour de France guys will be using the latest Sturmey Archer's? Gaz
