8-FUN BBS01 Crank kit on Boardman MTB PRO 29er

I don't have a front derailleur which makes things a lot easier, I haven't found one that can reach that far yet (in my price range). I have the precialps 104 BCD spider for the BBS01 which is compatible with my GSM and 42 and 32 tooth chainrings. The chainline is actually quite OK when compared...

looking for somebody to build me a bike

I tow but with big wheels... I have been looking at a folder so I can take it on trains and busses (hidden in a bag to escape the bike tax!) and like the Burley Travoy as an idea, not the price. Something that can carry my suitcase and arrived at the station the suitcase and the bike in its bag.

8-FUN BBS01 Crank kit on Boardman MTB PRO 29er

At the bargain price of only 56.25 € per sprocket too!:eek: I agree on the number of gears - 8 speed being the ideal cassette for mid drives because you can get an 11-32 for about 12 €. Wider chain, better chainline... If you need more gears you can always mount a double chainring on the...

Help needed to find new bike £500 or less

You might want to upgrade the brakes (at least the front one) on your Elops. Not expensive and easy to do - Avid Digit 5 for about 15€. The tyres aren't as bad as they were but never leave home without a repair kit and think about upgrading the inner tubes for Schwalbes.

    Are battery covers worth it?

I think that a protector has two uses: Protect the battery when the bike is parked out in sub zero temperatures - keep the temperature in the battery while you are stopped for that hot chocolate. Protect it from wind chill: -1°C = -13°C with wind chill You are only protecting capacity/range not...

8-FUN BBS01 Crank kit on Boardman MTB PRO 29er

You remove the BB so the type doesn't matter except for eccentric which doesn't work in most cases. The BB specs should be on the tech sheet for the bike you are buying. Long shell is found on fat bikes or other and there are even adapter kits for those. With an 11 speed you want to mount a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I came on the 6 month working holiday visa. What an eye opener working in London was! I had a job cleaning dead pigeons out of and re-coating some water tanks on the top of flat blocks I remember. "Don't work so fast lad, the boss wants a new Jag" and lunch and beer were supplied. The Irish guys...

Hauling heavy loads in steep hills.

What kit do you have now? In Norway you can buy a perfectly legal Bafang 250 W BBS01 which is called the 500 W BBS02 in other countries. You want a 500W geared hub that has a 250 W label on it and a 25 Amp controller otherwise. Don't neglect the battery, at least 15 Ah if you don't want it to...

More lack of understanding what the EU does. Hint: the EU isn't a bank... Banks have been behaving badly, it is up to the countries in which they are incorporated to punish the bad ones (still looking for a good one...). Unfortunately banks also have a bad habit of investing in one another so...

New Yamaha powered e-bikes at £1399

I confirm your impression, I didn't do much distance riding in the second half of last year. I have picked up my game and the other day I turned assist down from 3 to 2 and was flying on the flat unassisted! As soon as you get your leg muscles in condition you will be fine.
