They don't add a bigger motor to an S-pedelec, they just change the programming. The motors are identical I believe.

I can't see any logic in that statement. So he stops selling dongles, 70% (a wild guess) of his customers then go elsewhere for their bike. Oh yes the growth is elsewhere doh. But seriously how can there be growth when the then standard product doesn't meet the requirements of the customer?

"Shredding the trails" perhaps a bad choice of words, no doubt leading to lots of chat about e-bikes destroying the trails. Shredding trails is I imagine perfectly acceptable when done by human power only. I can just see the comments now. .. I hope I'm wrong.

The hardest bit is prising the front chainring off the Bosch square section bit, not that bad really, you just need a crank puller and lock ring tool. oh and some torx bits.

I've seen photos where the cover is ram jammed full of debris, to the point it has even made it into the motor housing. there are no seals on the bottom bracket, so dirt can enter the motor in the extreme.

It's for alternative wiring options, I have some duct tape over mine, and the same at the back, the plastic under cover does fill up with dirt more quickly otherwise.
