Longer Range out of the box

I don't understand the point of this thread? it sounds like you just need to ride an ordinary bike.

    To Kit Or To Woosh?

That's confusing saying you rode on the throttle. Does the motor only work on throttle then?

    Replacing my Kalkhoff Groove F8

Isn't it because the battery is where it is that you feel the weight? extra length because the battery is low and central isn't going to make it feel heavier, I'd have thought it will actually feel a lot lighter. Having said that, that Ansmann Lightride looks nice.

    Most efficient use of battery.

My bike seems to have upped its game in tour mode, or my perception has changed. Certainly my rides in tour have seen the Bosch system giving me a lot of help on the hills, and I'm amazed to be able to tackle even the steepest hills. It certainly isn't easy to resist thumbing it into turbo...

    2014 KTM E-CROSS p review

Oh dear with the rear axle. I washed my bike the other day and ended up having to remove the display from the bars to clean the 7 electrical contacts, the display wasn't talking to the rest of the bike. That's a first time fault on the Bosch side in over 3,000 miles and a year. That matt finish...

    Replacing my Kalkhoff Groove F8

Don't most folding bikes have a weight limit ? I know my Dahon does, and I'm fairly sure it is below 95 kgs. Edit, just checked and it's 105 kgs.

A working dongle - at last

Yes, if you make full use of all the power, you don't get something for nothing in this world.

ebike to keep up with road bike for 40 miles

I've been running on no higher than Tour setting for a few rides now, my battery is giving a range of around 30 to 35 miles now, up from my normal 15 to 20 miles in Turbo mode. I was hoping it would prevent me from getting any KOM's , alas I've just picked one up. I'm amazed how well the bike...

    To Kit Or To Woosh?

At first I thought you'd already done the journey at that speed? I guess that's not actually the case? I would imagine you'll need to gear it up a fair bit to achieve your goal. http://www.wooshbikes.co.uk/electric-bikes/bigbear/

    To Kit Or To Woosh?

I'm not being sarcastic. Just genuinely amazed at the speed and ease of averaging over 22 mph.

    To Kit Or To Woosh?

I hadn't realised they where that fast, you must be a very strong rider and very fit not to sweat and ride at just over 22 mph.

    To Kit Or To Woosh?

So a bike restricted to 15.5 mph will only do 12 mph when unrestricted o_O

Looking to build my own bike to replace Woosh Sirocco CD.

A friend of a friend has a Woosh CD bike, I've had a quick ride, I didn't think much to it, apart from being quite powerful. The front brake was dreadful though. I doubt he's done 50 miles in a year on it though.

That's it, fancy riding at 60 mph, no wonder it's falling apart :) sorry couldn't resist that one :)

    KTM eLycan

Good question, I remember wondering about what Col said, also isn't it Panasonic that do that, and not unique to KTM as implied?

    Sx2 dongle versus badassebikes Typ3.2

That's very misleading, the amount of assistance offered is the same all the way to the new cut-off speed, be it x2 or x3, you'll need some seriously high gearing to take full advantage of the x3 one though.
