    TSDZ2 On a single speed

What is the cadence of the motor where it's sweet spot is? That is the question you should be asking first. That is why I posted a link to a cadence calculator. From personal experience that one is spot on if your exact tyre size is in the list. The GSM is ever so slightly under my preferred...

    Britain by bike. Ch 5

No. About 16 wide spaced ones is enough to cover just about any terrain. Use this http://www.bikecalc.com/speed_at_cadence to calculate what you need depending on your terrain. My own personal ideal setup for a 28" wheel bike (Number Two for example) would be the Sunrace 8 speed 11-40 with...

You can add a double chainring to the Yamaha so Mont Ventoux should not be a problem.

Replacing Cargo trike Battery - time for new motor or controller as well?

With the KT controllers there seems to be a difference in start up speed between 8 and 12 magnet disks. It may be completely subjective but I find the 12 magnet disk gives a smoother, quicker feel to start up.

non pneumatic tyres - good investment?

Braking a bike tire regularly from over 60 km/h yes, they are built for a little bit less and with soft sticky rubber to improve adhesion especially in the cold and wet.

Are Amazon and E-Bay too big for HMRC to tackle.

Ah! Death and taxes... The Trump tax cut is a wonderful example of what is going on in the world. Tax cuts for everyone... earning more than $100k. Corporate rate down to 20% yet small business rate stays at 25%. There is your social justice clearly printed out, the less well off are on this...

    Could this be the future?

You may disagree but my comment on claimed range for given power was not negative, it was realistic. If you want negative comments about hydrogen cell EVs I do have a heap of those on stock. The fact is that you can only "instantly recharge" the hydrogen, not the battery. Mail runs don't work...

    Fascism returns to Spain

They have been arrested for rebellion against the state ( organising and holding the referendum). Woosh is correct, the PP refused to even talk about modifying the constitution, all the other parties to the left of them are for a brush up of the constitution. Had the PP said OK lets modify the...

    Could this be the future?

This thing is as heavy as a tank, the weight was published in the local newspaper and from memory was 28 kg(?). Add in the bags full of mail you are going to need more than 5.4 Ah of hydrogen + 5.4 Ah of buffer battery to get any range. We all know what it is like riding with a battery just...

    Could this be the future?

If you run out of hydrogen and run the 150 W buffer battery down to flat you are going to have to recharge the buffer battery back up to a certain level before taking off again. At 2 Amps it will take some time to charge back up presuming they are using standard 18650 cells in the buffer battery.
