Need a fast Ebike - Fiver for advice

I wonder what the real world range is, 25ah doesn't seem that much to me.

Need a fast Ebike - Fiver for advice

You don't say how far you need to travel? Any Bosch, Yamaha or Shimano steps crank drive will do with a speed-up device, racing bike style obviously so you don't stand out, more than likely you'll only need half power to cruise at 25 mph too. An alternative to those is the Polini powered...

Battery charging with inverter and 12 dv battery

My 300W inverter wasn't enough for me, so had to upgrade to a 500w one, I'm hopeless with the maths but I'd say you'd deplete a 110 ah 12v battery by about half on one charge. 18 amps won't be much use. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/car-inverter-for-bosh-charger.25096/#post-321870

Help! Bianchi Impulso Road or Orbea Gain?

I've not seen any chat about the Polini motor here other than a few posts linking to brief magazine test rides. It sounds like that is the one you favour though :)

Why has the Nexus 8 speed hub gear not caught on?

James and Flecc have already answered, the briefest pause is all that is required on a good crank drive system, I bet the gear changes are quicker than on a derailleur system, and remember you ease off on those to change gear, well if you have any mechanical sympathy you do. Oh and having a...

Why has the Nexus 8 speed hub gear not caught on?

You can on a Bosch and Shimano steps, no doubt that also goes for a Yamaha and Brose, no idea on the current China crank drive motors though?

    Orbea Gain e road bike

I'm really glad you asked that question, it's a question I could level at you, I'd be pleased if you would give it some thought and answer the same question given your average speeds down at 9 to 11 mph. Wouldn't you be better off on a normal bike?

Bike to carry 8 -10 year old

After having had experience of setting up a couple of bikes to carry a girl up to age 4 I'd say your idea is a non starter for a normal shaped bicycle. Either get another bike for him or buy a tandem are really the only options aside from specially modified bikes designed to carry a passenger...

Erik Buell’s new Fuell Fluid electric bicycle with 200 km range

I've got 11,000 miles on a Nexus 8 on a Bosch Classic, used turbo a lot on a lot of climbs, strava gives me rider power figures of 700+ watts at times. In the vein of this long range bike I wonder how big the battery would need to be to match this ride from today...

    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

Well for me there's huge difference between that cliff wingsuit stuff and riding a bicycle above 15 mph, but as you say we all have our own opinions on safety, you wouldn't catch me jumping off cliffs in wingsuits that's for sure, but cycling at 20 mph on a road is okay with me.

    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

I'm struggling to remember the speed I hit down the same hill, I think it was getting on for mid 50's mph. edit 55 mph, which would put me 271st if I'd been on a pedal only bike https://www.strava.com/segments/2580591?filter=overall

    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

At this point I think it is worth pointing out that there are hundreds of thousands of cyclists who will not agree with your opinion. For example this rider who hit 63 mph on this ride. https://www.strava.com/activities/2311786967

New to pedelecs and need advice on what sort of bike I should get

I'd walk for that distance, about 14 mins for me, or buy a very very cheap bike, no motors required at all for that distance.
