    Shwalbe Tyre problem

My Michelin on the motor wheel went like that after 3600 km and 12 months. How many km on that one? That tyre is one of their cheaper ones which is why is often mounted OEM.

    Woosh Rio 17AH Battery ???

You will go faster by adding Volts not Amps. Or rather you need a bit of both. The SWX02 gears melt at about 1.5kW BTW...

    S06S Controller Parameters

I did experiment with full power only for a while and it was unmanageable in town. I am strong enough to ride past the cut off so it didn't affect battery range as much as I expected, about 65 km instead of 70 km for a full charge so about 7% loss. At 36v with a 15A controller I run most...

    Yosepower hub kits.

And the discharge rate setting of the BMS. If you stay at 15 Amps you should be able to draw that much continuous with no problems: http://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/LG%2018650%20MJ1%203500mAh%20%28Green%29%20UK.html Each cell of the 3P group only needs to provide 5A at 15A discharge...

Advice re new bike with hub gears.

If I was wealthy enough my dream trike would be an AZUB Ti-FLY 26 with the pinion 18 speed and a Q100H in the back wheel. Great gear range, full suspension and 250 W help on the hills. Only about 7900€ with the options... :)

    Wired bike lights

If your battery gets to LVC your lights will still work even though there isn't enough juice for the motor. Most DC e-bike lights work from 7v to 42v and the high end up to 60v. The dynamo on the German e-bikes is from the olden times when wired DC lights didn't even exist on the market StVZO...

    Hub Dynamo

Regen works in the Alps (and maybe the Pyrenees...). e-bike batteries don't charge like F1 batteries, they want 2A and 42v, F1 batteries want god knows what. Speed isn't comparable. List goes on...

    Wired bike lights

There are a couple of very good threads on ES about wiring in brake lights etc and they use a buck converter. I am keen to wire in a brake light to the HWbrake sensor I will put on the trike because down hill I like to use more of the road and am doing about the same speed as the cars following...

    Wired bike lights

I use the 42v b+m wired front light, it feeds 6v to the rear light. I use their battery lights too.

    Real Life Range

I just read about this ride that all the local roadies do as training (2510 ft climbing Eddie :p), 48 km so I think I might take 20 Ah of battery with me... The section I havent done is between Sare and Bera, the final bit of that climb is 7% and straight up, no corners  The weather looks...

Using Lipo batteries for an Ebike?

I take them off the bike at every charge, they are either 20Ah 2x4S 10 Ah parallel + 2x6S 10 Ah parallel in an "aluminum" briefcase or as a 10 Ah small battery in a plastic Skip washing powder box. I had an incident where I wasn't careful and pulled the JST balance plug off removing from the...
