    Concerning gloves...

I try to keep my mouth shut and breath through the nose... Seriously last year an unidentified flying beast struck me right in the tonsils, I almost suffocated trying to spit it out. I eventually swallowed it.

    Concerning gloves...

Gloves on the trike because of insects and stones, looking for summer ones at the moment. I wear a helmet in summer even on the upright because it is more comfortable than a cap for sun protection and it keeps bees and wasps out of your eyes when you are doing over 40 km/h...

    Final mile eBike solution

I walk distances of between 2 km to 4 km instead of biking unless I have something to carry (like shopping). I walk at a constant speed of about 6 km/h wear correct shoes and adapt my clothing to the weather (instead of social convention).

chainset is 46 tooth likely to help compared with a 52

I had one on my Mxus, didn't have any problems with the bottom gear which I only ever used on ramps (>13%). But the 14 tooth top gear was too short on a 26" wheel. Now I have a DNP 11-32 for that motor.

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

I use those on the trike, they work OK but don't let you relax as much as being clipped in when you stop pedalling. I put them on to prevent my feet from flying off when spinning out downhill.

Looks nice and interesting but at a price

Shipping? Luxury tax? On my trike a pinion box (12 speed C-line) adds 1600€ to the base price, that is 399€ less than the price of a cube bosch powered touring bike, the 18 speed P-line = the price of the cube...

    Ebike comparison

My bike is my only means of transportation, not a hobby, not a sport, not a leisure. But despite it being a means of transportation it does also cover those aspects of cycling. I bought a new bike last year for the first time, my first new bike since I was twelve and my uncles bought me that...

Looks nice and interesting but at a price

Twice the price of the Orbea Gain, I think they are trying to flatter a different market segment, "hand polished frame" for example. My guess is rich young Spanish businessmen is more the target than you and I d8veh.

    Commuting on a BBSHD: report

I am surprised you could mount the ring inside the precialps spider. Mine has a different diameter inside and out which corresponds to inner and outer chainwheels, did you machine some material off to get it to fit?

Looks nice and interesting but at a price

Good find what a good looking bike! pinion are reported just as good as Rohloff, slight difference in gear range for the 9 speed, much larger jumps between gears in the C-line boxes which are designed for e-bikes. Here is the motor: https://www.ebikemotion.com/web/ Same as Orbea Gain

    When to give way..

You are riding in the wrong country... In Spain the distance defined in the road code is 1.50 m and very widely respected, people will wait until they can pass safely. Yes there are cyclist deaths in Spain, many seem to be concentrated around Madrid (where there is the most trafic?) or other...
