Are lithium pencil batteries overpriced and overhyped?

I only use rechargeable. They are Ni-MH.

    Insat battery voltage sag

Try 10P13S ;) or LiPo :) You need a massive parallel set up or large C rate to stop sag.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

TM: I need a smoke screen, quick! MI5: We could knock off a Russian spy that defected? TM: That will do nicely. MI5: Russian poison or American Ma'am? TM: The Donald has been getting up my nose lately but lets go for Russian shall we? ... Profit!

    For the larger person

Don't forget the wind! A larger person also has aerodynamic challenges to overcome. I say this because a storm is here (again...) and I had to change down to 1st gear in a couple of places on my ride earlier! Yes, on the trike! It is gusting to well over 80 km/h... The lycras were all...

What can I do to stop the BBSO1 dropping the chain on some gears?

Lack of imagination... Or penny pinching. Better still they could have delivered the motor with a spider that would allow mounting of one or two standard chainwheels. A spider designed to provide a standard chainline...

    For the larger person

Trike = 17+ kg Motor and battery = 7 kg Me 80+ kg (winter weight :( ) Trailer full of shopping 35-40 kg So even us "little" guys can get up to 140+ kg quite easily. The advantage of the trike is a max load of 125 kg because it is spread over 3 wheels.

    Window Shopping....as you do...

I think you may mean a full suspension touring bike? I have one ideal bike now, it just needs a motor mounted, front mudguards and a neck rest to be functional + all the goodies that make up creature comfort... They mount up quite quickly don't they? :D On my window shopping list is the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The poor paying for the rich is called "solidarity". You know that the rich need all that money more than the poor do so it is only right that the poor should pay. As they don't have any money it is proof that they don't need it anyway! After all it is their fault if they are poor, they should...

It doesn't work like that where I live, young Basque people are very proud of their cultural heritage. Part of the Basque diversity is a reasonably large population from Senegal who were/are crew on tuna fishing boats. You can find Basque villages where you don't hear a word of Spanish. In...

Question about the C5 setting on the KT-LCD3?

There is a difference between the rating stamped on a motor, which is a consumer protection guarantee that the manufacturer is not over rating its motors, and the wattage that motor can really produce. Most 250 W geared hub motors are capable of 750 W constant and over on the ES forum you have...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The old London was dirty, the air was foul and the East End pubs full of violent National Front yobs. Or at least that is how I remember it. Camden Town was scary for a non Irish lad at the time too.
