Help! Pendleton Somerby E (2019+) battery charger - shows charged (red light + green light) when not connected to battery

Your charger Jack socket doesn't care about your feelings, especially after you burnt it a few times. If you want to start caring about your battery, switch on the charger before inserting the jack.

How long should voltage remain in battery?

The 26v when switched off is not real voltage. It's actually 0v. You cannot draw any current with that 26v. It's just leakage charge through the MOSFETs.

Rear hub motor juddering when spun by hand /pedalled

36v motor's will generally work at 48, which would make them 30% faster and 30% more powerful. It's not advised for one that's already fast, say more than 260 rpm at 36v. The controller and LCD need to be able to work at 48v too. Most 36v ones can't, except the KT dual voltage ones.

You always need to be on guard

The guy must be a wuss. That sort of thing happens to me nearly every time I ride my bike, especially if I wear a dayglo jacket.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

I guess a few people never figured this out. The floods from storm surges are shorting electrics on battery powered vehicles, which starts a fire, then the battery catches fire. In the case of small scooters and ebikes, the shorts probably cause the battery to explode directly. The fire service...

Help! Pendleton Somerby E (2019+) battery charger - shows charged (red light + green light) when not connected to battery

If there is a suspicion that no power is coming out of the charger's jack, use your meter to confirm it by measuring the voltage. You can stick one probe up the middle and hold the other against the sleeve while you wiggle the wires. If the voltage hoes to zero, there's your problem, but if it...

    Shock Absorbers

I think itjust a question of how much you want to pay. Non-Chinese established brands will probably last longer, but are a lot more expensive. I think if one of my shocks went, I'd give one of these a try, but I only ride on the road. Off-road, performance of the shock becomes much more...

    Shock Absorbers

Do you do serious off-roading? If not, the only thing that matters is the length. You can transfer the bearings and spacers from one to another, though you could check the widths of the ends to make sure. DNM make loads of shocks from cheap to expensive, which you can find on Aliexpress, Amazon...

Thanks for that. Yes, the cable was probably OK at only 3 amps, but it felt very thin and weak. This kettle is one of my extreme energy saving devices for when my solar panels can't keep my batteries charged, so it won't do any harm to save a few watts from cable losses. I can run it along with...

    Cheap Comfortable Saddle

I got one of these from Aliexpress because it looked right for what I need. It fits me perfectly. There's no sliding forwards or backwards and nice even pressure spread out over my backside, like it was custom made for me. It's made of soft rubbery stuff, so it compresses a bit to even out the...

The polls are biased in the hope that nobody will notice when they try to cheat again in the election. Real independent polls of actual people show trump 75% and Kamala 25%. This one's going to be a stormer. I've ordered a truck load of popcorn and invited all my friends round to watch it.

Yes, that's right, either way round will work.

PAS fixed to gates rear sprocket?

If I were doing it, I'd glue magnets to the back of the chainwheel and either glue the sensor in place or make a custom bracket for it that holds it in the right place. The magnets have to go the right way up and the sensor in the correct orientation too, so test it first to see which way round...
