    ETM upgrade for BBS01B 250W

I think you're either not explaining it well or you misunderstand what he did. The basic concept is that the more volts you give to a motor, the faster it will spin. If you want 30% more speed, you run a 36v motor at 48v. The sensible way to do it is simply to change the controller because it...

Benelli e-misano project. Will need help :-)

I don't think that's the original controller. It needs an LCD to work, and so that you can set it up correctly. You need a KT LCD, not any one. I'd recommend LCD3, 5, or 8, definitely not LCD1. Most modern motors have the speed sensor in them. You will only know when you get it working. You...

    KT conttoller possible issue

If you have a throttle connector, it'll be at the other end of the cable at the handlebars after the main harness splits 4ways to the 2 brakes, LCD and throttle.

Smaller Alternative replacement Display to a Kingmeter NOKEE-U

You can normally change the nine levels of assist to five levels or even three in the settings. IMHO, 9 is too many.

    Merkybikes M9

52v is illegal. The standard only allows up to 48v. 30 mph is also illegal. There is no such thing as 250w current. You have never run your bike at 250w. If you had, it would be completely useless, you'd chuck it and get something that works. Please explain exactly what you have done that you...

    Merkybikes M9

As I said, it's not for me to judge, nor interfere. I provide information and advice without obligation and free of charge. You didn't follow the information on the government website. It says maximum output power of 250w. Your bike has always exceeded that. 250w output would be around 12 amps...

I see that it's my job to make sure that anybody reading these posts understands what the rules are and how they apply to them. They can then make their own informed choice in what they do. I never judge them, nor criticise anybody for breaking rules.

Help! Pendleton Somerby E (2019+) battery charger - shows charged (red light + green light) when not connected to battery

You don't seem to like my advice, so I'll let someone else guide you through what you can do, or you can do what feels right., though that didn't work out too well for you previously, did it?

    Merkybikes M9

That's incorrect. It's what it says on the government website, but whoever posted it made a mistake.. There are virtually no ebikes in the market that give a maximum power of 250w. 400w is about average for a low powered cheap bike, but most these days are at least 500w. The actual regulation...

    ETM upgrade for BBS01B 250W

That sounds back to front to me. It would make the motor run 30% slower, not faster. To make one go 30% faster, you need a 36v motor run at 48v. If you have a 48v one, you could get a small improvement (about 8% increase in speed) by running at 52v (14S). A36v one run at 12S would increase the...

    Merkybikes M9

That's not how motors work and neither is it how the law works. The law says that the motor must be rated at no more than 250w. Rating is done by the motor manufacturer and cannot be changed by the way you use it. The rating must be marked on the motor by a label or stamping. You cannot run a...

    KT LCD-3 and LCD-5 displays - differences?

It's very easy to make a bracket for the LCD3 because it has a more or less flat back with two M4 fixing screws. You only need to bend a bit of aluminium sheet and drill some holes.

Help! carrera Vengeance C ladies bike that doesn’t want to work.

If you don't use those batteries for a while, they go to sleep and have to be woken back up. Download the manual for your bike and see what it says about how to wake up the battery. It's normally stick it on the charger for a while or press and hold a button for 10 seconds or so. I've never...

Adding a 2nd battery in parallel to original. Apollo Transport 24v

That looks like the wire to me going from one end of the pack to the other. Right at the bottom of the listing, it says battery pack with BMS. You need to check because it's the difference between a safeish battery and one that's likely to set fire to your house.

Adding a 2nd battery in parallel to original. Apollo Transport 24v

What you've bought is a 7S3P pack or recycled cells. 3P means between 6.6 and 10Ah, depending on what cells they are. If they've added up the individual cells' capacity to get 30Ah, it would mean that the cells are 1.5Ah each and the pack is only 4.5Ah, which would be about right for recycled...
