Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi all,

My whisper 806 ebike low power. I have to have it of full power in order to get any ‘help’ cycling.

I’ve contacted all the seemingly obvious mechanics but they all say they don’t fix wisper bikes. Does anyone know why that would be?

So I’m wondering if anyone knows of an electric bike repair (preferably mobile) person in north west London.

Thanks

What sort of cycling do you do? What do you expect from the bike? It is designed as assist, not as a motor only bike. It's not going to complete with a typical (illegal) bike ridden (dangerously) by many delivery riders. That said, on full assist it should give a huge amount of help.

Is this a change from how it used to behave, or is it new to you, or has it always been the same?

I'm sure Wisper will be able to help.

Is it the 806T, with torque sensor, which responds to your input?

Did you try using setting H on the LCD?
Did you try using the throttle while pedalling?
Do you know how the bike works?
Is this a new problem on an old bike or have you just bought the bike?
How old is the bike?

HI @whosjack As indicated above a bit more info is needed, your Q sounds like it could describe a few different situations such as a brand new bike not meeting expectations or an older bike that has developed a fault?

And while its true atm e-bike repair shops/mechanics are few and far between the Good news is in many cases the ebike systems are Very modular, and if competent with a spanner to change a rear tyre and reset brakes etc.. All you probably need is time and direction..
We cant help with the time but otherwise you have landed in the right place.

There are plent yof Wisper dealers around ther countrywho sell and service bikes , look on the main Wipser home page to find a dealer near you .
Alternatively give Wisper HQ a call or email for enquiries.

As to the nature of the fault not enough details have been given.
