    Freego Eagle, my first E-Bike

Eaglerider, great review. Although I have not done anything like the mileage you have, I have also found the bike to be great fun, without any serious problems, with one small exception. I noticed some chips on the paintwork. Don't know how they got there, but I contacted Freego and they sent...

Throttles-please can you talk me through how you use the throttle on a typical ride.

Not sure what a torque sensor is or does. Bike is freego Eagle, and I find that sometimes on a hill it is easier to start moving using throttle. The motor does not kick in immediately when using pedals. So is that where a torque sensor would come in gray

Before you buy a new electric bike-some important considerations

I would second that Eagle. The Freego Eagle is a great bike, but there is definitely a feeling of drag or heaviness at the back end when pedalling without power. I thought this may be just down to me being unfit and really have nothing to compare to, but all the same with the power on it is...

    extra battery

think I may look to get a second battery that I can just put in the pannier and switch when required. I am not very technical and despite the helpful posts on here, I know that if I started messing about with wires etc, I would end up in a mess. Next question is , Does a second battery have to...

    extra battery

is it possible to use a secondary battery as an emergency power supply or just to extend range . I am thinking that it would need to be mounted on my rear rack, possibly under panniers. But how would it connect when required. I have freego eagle which has the battery pack mounted behind the seat...

Is this a case of deja vu ?

I looked at the Tonaro before I bought my Freego. Unfortunately I was not able to get for a test ride. Wish I could have. Really liked the looks of the bikes. Seems to me to be a good value bike that does what it says on the tin. Maybe the guys from Powerpedals should be on here to defend their...

    hub motors/hill climbing

thanks D8veh That explains it well. How would I know if the motor on my Eagle was able to accept more current or if in any way it could be improved. The battery is 17.5ah regards gray

    hub motors/hill climbing

forgive me if this is a silly question. I am curious to know how some hub motors are better at hill climbing than others, although they are the same at 250w. Obviously the weight of bike and rider will have some bearing on this but are some motors better at climbing than others just by design...
