    Hiya can I ask why please ? It doesn't appear to be any different than a bbs for example when it comes to eccentric bb ? Also I recall this being asked before and there was a gizmo one could buy to fit a bbs to a eccentric bb I'll try to find the thread

    As Andy mat mentioned it sounds like you are trying to replace the pas sensor with a switch If that’s the case then you can’t replace with a switch . The sensor detects the magnets and sends pulses to the controller . A switch is just on /off and won’t work However there are different versions...

    I think you are saying :- 1. You have a cyclamatic 2. The leds on the handbar panel are all lit up when the battery is connected 3. However you are getting no power at the wheel 4. And, if you remove the battery and cycle along, the same leds on the handlebar panel will flicker Is that right ?

    One of the many reasons I love my alfine 8 is that when the rear sprocket wears out they less than a tenner to replace (along with a new chain which can be a nice meaty single speed one if you wish)

    What vfr said For what is worth I have never (yet) has water ingress issues caused by riding in rain. Quite a few by leaving it standing in rain. Avoid or protect is the answer

    Many of these high power motors are direct drive rather than geared motors. Great for high speed but pedaling then is a pig as you are effectively driving a generator. Geared motors have a clutch type arrangement so they can be freely peddled (or vastly more freely any way )

    Personally I'm not a fan of those mudguard either Mudhuggers look better and perform better IMHO . Even just a rear one plus an enduro style on the front Also check planet x website . They often have amazing deals on kit. Their compact multi tool even has a chain breaker and costs peanuts...
