Think this is shocking https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/bike-commute-etiquette?utm_term=00033a33b482903cd11cc49c3db2664145 Especially when talking specifically about commuting

    Fold up e bikes

Nothing I guess other than convenience ? I am forever changing my saddle height (for dull reasons ) so go with a quick release . I could use Allen keys but when you do something all the time then qr is faster and doesn't need tools Having said that I also find I am super sensitive to how...

New model from Riese & Muller

Have to say I also find this angular approach to design pretty ugly too

    STVZO Lights (with lenses)

I don't know that one but I watch with interest as the days draw in. I have a light with many settings to cope with town traffic to dark nights on the south downs but not focussed like this

I should add he is 18 stone so over the official weight limit for the bikes he looked at. Except argos which drove the decision (125kg

    Fold up e bikes

Your budget is a great deal more than my colleague. He was after two bikes for 1200ish He ended up ignoring my recommendation and buying the argos folder. He seems happy but it is his first bike. It will pants after a whisper Not sure I can help tbh. I suggested the decathlon folder to him...

    Front light options...

Having tried many configs over the years as a year round commuter come what may. I have qe settled on USB rechargeable backup lights or back up lights thsn can run directly off USB. All you then need is a small phone style back up battery pack and you can charge your phone, charge your back up...

    Help! Numb Hands

Have you considered a new bar ? I like the On One Mary bar and others (nealh for example) use their Geoff bar Both really help allievet this issue for us. Personally grip type I have found less important than bar shape, height and positioning

    Introducing the new Woosh Rambla

Not my cup of tea but at that spec, price , step through upright with clean looks and a solid rep with customers I can only see that you are on a winner On an aside I like the rack design most ! But worry about real world use

    Sqeaking brakes

My tuppence is a decent midrange hydro brake can be hugely improved by a larger rotor and an adaptor I used a massive 203mm rotor on old bike. New bike has 180 front and 160 year but much better brakes (m7000 shimano for interest ) But I do use my bike off road a lot

anyone seen a bike like this

A word of warning is that some parts can be very hard /impossible /not cost effective for powabikes that old However, let's not jump the gun here ! Is there anything wrong

anyone seen a bike like this

Crikey. That looks to me like a seriously ancient lead acid powered brushed ebike from the early days like early powabikes with 3 x 12v SLA in the massive downtube) Surely this is not at all new ?! In any event I can't read the markings (maybe just my phone) can you do some close ups ?

Home made mighty mini battery pack

Thanks vfr400 , it's a strength thing. Everything I buy doesn't last I think it's the mtb use. So much jolting always seems to break anything standard. Maybe I just need to price in regular replacements

Finally pushed my hub too far?

I have had a few over voltibg issues over time including overheated phases . I have found the connections to be the issue / where they burnt or broke. Sounds like you did this already though with a full replacement I got to the point of always soldering phases directly which solved it nearly...
