Replacement brake levers and callipers for fiido m21 hydraulic

Just type in "Shimano hydraulic" for MT200, 375 etc etc, or "Hydraulic brakes" - Tektro may be an option. The calipers use the same fixings. You need to measure the cable length to ensure you buy the right length of hoses (rear especially) as they're pre-filled. Does the M21 use 180mm or 160mm...

Just take a look on AliExpress; plenty to choose from there.

    Electric Bike Battery Problems

@FinlayT, read this thread here. This member had the same 24v battery as you (they come in 24v and 36v). At that time, YosePower offered a new 24v battery pack for about £130, but this member decided that was still too much and decided to have his battery fixed for about £80. It's not a...

Replacement brake levers and callipers for fiido m21 hydraulic

I fitted the Zoom HB-100's on my Fiido D11. They're okay, but not all that. As your cables aren't internally routed like mine, you'd be better off with proper hydraulics like Shimano MT200's. You really need to change the rotors too.

    Carrera Vegeance E

IIRC, that was the old version Carrera. Many things have changed since, including the electronics (battery, controller, display... as well as the frame and mechanical parts). Halfords choose electronics for their own ebikes which are pretty resiliant to punter fiddling. IIRC, the only...

    Electric Bike Battery Problems

Nobody here is being melodramatic. When a lithium battery starts to vent like that, it indicates a serious fault and you have no idea of what could happen next: It could easily have exploded in your face. Soundwaves initial reaction of getting the battery outside into open space is the sensible...

    Looking to buy E-bike

I don't follow that at all. The Crossroad bike you link to uses an (illegal) Bikee branded 500 watt rear hub motor, and the Carrera Crossfuse uses a (legal) Bosch 250 watt torque sensored mid-drive motor. How is that "essentially same motor"? They couldn't be more different if you tried!

Help! Hi. I am brand new to the electric bike world.

It's a standard Hailong battery with controller integrated into the carrier, for which vfr400 identified/suggested a KT replacement if you wanted to upgrade that. Member andrewelectricbike1 posted his Basis Beacon review here. EDIT: My bad! I've just picked up on the fact they've changed the...

Help! Hi. I am brand new to the electric bike world.

From what's been revealed so far the Impel uses what appears to be another locked/proprietory system... that is, you can change nothing and repair nothing. Like Halfords other Suntour systems, you need to return the bike to the dealer for service unless you're prepared to undertake extensive...

Unplugging the battery BRICKS this device; you MUST go back to the manufacturer

He says "...if you disconnect the battery from the BMS you have to send the device back..." Isn't that exactly the same boobytrap Bosch use to prevent recelling? At least Bosch owners have the option to purchase a whole new battery pack, albeit at an inflated cost.

    Changing parameters speeed app

Generally, you can change the speed limit from the handlebar display - you don't need the Android or PC app for that. The apps are useful/needed for changing the amount of current applied in each level of assist as well as the number of assist levels, how that power is applied etc.

    Fiido m21 battery wobble

Yes, sorry, it does on the torque M21, but not on the torque D21, which uses the same LED display. Either way, it's rumoured they're changing it again soon. Lot of complaints about visibility in sunlight, lack of odometer, and the KPH only; hopefully they'll sort those issues... maybe even...

Help! Hi. I am brand new to the electric bike world.

The problem with the Halfords Impel is that it uses a truly weird, closed electronics system, hitherto unknown to anyone else here. It's been discussed before. The Beacon uses generic, easily replaced components - see the members review. Dependability will largely depend upon how the bike is...

Help! Hi. I am brand new to the electric bike world.

Ebikesdirect.co.uk also accept a similar wide range of schemes (from their website): "Some companies are set up with a 3rd party who assists them in the scheme, such as “Cycle Scheme”, “ride2Work”, "c2w Support", “Bike2work”, “Evans Ride2Work”, “Halfords Cycle to Work”, “Bikes for the NHS”...

Help! Hi. I am brand new to the electric bike world.

Eskute are like Engwe or Fiido... they're Chinese companies who manufacture and sell direct to consumer rather than through retailers. It's all high-volume and minimal margin, so, no, you won't find a dealer who'll support any kind of cycle-to-work scheme because there isn't any profit in it...

    Fiido m21 battery wobble

The old display wasn't great (difficult to see in bright light), but at least you could fudge showing MPH/Miles by changing wheel size. The new display is worse in that the display only shows to 25kph even if the bike is going faster (downhill for example). Rumour is there'll be a new display...

    Fiido m21 battery wobble

You just need to add a bit of foam to the battery; sometimes just a lick or two of gaffer tape will be enough to pack it more tightly. How are you finding your M21 with torque sensor?

What ebike would be the least effort to ride

For the benefit of other members here, the now discontinued Fiido D1 was a £500, small wheeled, 36v/250w ebike weighing 17.5kg, and already had an unrestricted throttle fitted. The D2 (D2S with gears) is the newer equivalent. If you're unable to manhandle that even riding with throttle only I...

Can anyone help with a D2 throttle problem?

It's easy to do the tests Neal suggests; accessing the controller is only two screws. Fiido's youtube self fixing video channel is here There's a D2 video on Display Replacement which shows how to voltage test at the controller whilst keeping it powered up, and another video showing Controller...

Can anyone help with a D2 throttle problem?

A previous poster had issues trying to use a generic Ebay throttle with a D2, it seemed because of wiring differences. This video might help fix your old throttle, but if needed a genuine Fiido one can be bought here with the right wiring sequence and plugs. Fiido support are quite helpful too.
