Interesting pic - for an ebike anorak such as myself.

Looks nicely engineered.

The vertical dropouts should make wheel removal easy, and the horizontal slots should take care of belt tension, which does need to be kept spot on.

Some of us like a leisurely ride, we are not all bone head speed and trick cyclists that have attitude problems and feel inferior to car drivers, some of us are just grateful to be breathing and having a beating heart.

What is all this about jumping off kerbs, going through mud, speeding everywhere, I guess when some of you mature you will just enjoy a nice ride looking at birds, it comes to you eventually when you actually have time to reflect and enjoy this most amazing planet.

You all need to slow down a bit, no wonder you are bitter, nasty and bitchy, take a chill pill and relax. I have had a lovely day, a great ride with my wife this afternoon, then cleaned myself up and now sitting back with a glass of wine watching the Smart eBike trailer advert on a loop on TV, what could be better :)
Absolutely, and many of us in here enjoy our leisurely rides in exactly the same way, so why are you being so offensive which doesn't seem to match that attitude to riding.

I think the way you've assessed your e-bike costs is thoroughly sensible and your bike is clearly a great bargain at the price you paid. Also I've often posted in here that the right e-bike for anyone is the one that suits them, not the one others think they should buy. For all those reasons I haven't in any way criticised your choice of bike which is clearly right for you, nor have I been bitter, nasty or bitchy

Yet when I posted some facts about the true status of Mercedes support for e-bikes you responded in a thoroughly nasty way, calling my ascertainable facts utter twaddle. Not content with that, you later accused me in so many words of posting lies.

There is no possible excuse for that sort of behaviour.

I'm sorry I have no excuse. Only frustrated my legs don't work as they should and the bike is to get me rehabilitated, I wish I could still do what others are doing but I can't, I guess its frustration that I am lucky to be able to get on a bike never mind doing tricks and getting down and dirty, but being slowed down has made me appreciate life more. I can't stand bullies or know it all arses that talk out of the same with no real knowledge or experience in what they choose to talk about or slag off, I guess I was getting protective over my highly researched investment that suited me.

Apologies to all if we can start again that would be appreciated!

That's just a Smart embossed casing, it's all BionX-SRAM inside.
.
BionX stamp at about 10 o'clock on the casing.

As some members may recall, in 2013 I bought a Rose bike with the BionX system. The bike itself was superb however the BionX system was the complete opposite, resulting in the bike having to be returned to Germany on several occasions, fortunately at Rose's expense, although I was without the use of the bike for several weeks each time. On the last occasion I had had enough and reached an agreement with Rose to buy the bike back. I then bought my present KTM EStyleP which has been faultless. I wouldn't consider a bike with the BionX system and it is evident from the Rose web site that they no longer use it; most, if not all their ebikes are now Bosch powered. I expect there are many people who are happy with their BionX bikes, however as far as I'm concerned, once bitten ..etc...

Aren't the Bionix now made in China but at Canadian prices?
