these days we have received some bluetooth connection issues and we have launched different version of android clients to tackle it, because we don't have such rom version we weren't able to test in-house, therefore after feedback information we have received, we now have android client version 1.0.4 which has a mechanism to prevent unqualified android phone being firmware upgrade, also with this version of android client it will double check the copied firmware on mercury or mars by re-copy back with integrity checking.
also i would like to formalize some error report terms such as to define what's mean for bluetooth drop :
1. firmware version, current version can be obtained by firmware upgrade page, on firmware upgrade page it will shown your current firmware version
2. android client version, shown on first page when android client is started.
3. for software activation, please power and connect with your mars or mercury, without devices is connected, speedict android client will keep waiting for quite long time.
4. bluetooth drop : to confirm if your bluetooth is disconnect after sometime, please power on speedict mercury or mars and go to live view, make sure live data is displayed, and put your android device next to mercury or mars 1 meter or 2 is ok, check if it will disconnect, you can monitor it say 5 minutes if you have time.
5. when firmware upgrade or setup, mercury or mars' bluetooth or mcu will be reset for new setting take effective, therefore don't be panic and just wait. this reset don't count as bluetooth drop or disconnect when you report to me
some of you are so helpful by submit the crash report on android console, we will based on this information from google to pinpoint the errors.
