OK: I wait with bated breath.....oh i see, look firmware gone inside, strange, have to consult our engineer.

have discussed with our engineers, the symptom (no led and dim green led) is no firmware inside your mercury that may caused by firmware upgrade failed, up to this moment we suspect that's cause by mcu hardware problem rather than workflow or process since we have tested this with our beta users for long long time, so we need your mercury back and see if it was caused by hardware related problem !OK: I wait with bated breath.....
(I'm back on ebike tasks again after doing family stuff over xmas)I can confirm that re-flashing the firmware with vesion 1.0.0 fixes the throttle problem in Throttle Mode. we have now set our bikes to 15 mph speed limit, which also works and still gives full power for hill climbing.
don't upload firmware now until next week when i have more time to discuss with our engineers or perhaps after inspected jack's return mercury.(I'm back on ebike tasks again after doing family stuff over xmas)
Do we know for sure that this is a fix for port 4 throttle response?
I don't want to end up with a non functioning speedict like jackhandy.
If it cures the problem then i will try to reload the firmware. I'm guessing this done from the main speedict menu?
sent and according to hong kong post information the estimated arrival time is 3-Jan 2013, will pm the tracking number to you.Ok Danny, I'll get it in the post first thing tomorrow morning (Monday).
Thanks for your very speedy assistance.
We both started by holding the phone stabding a couple of meters from the bike, butthen placed the phone on the seat because it took about 10 minutes.Just out of interest, d8veh: How far apart were your phones & speedicts when you were updating, did you move the phones at all & how long did the upgrade take - if you would be so kind.
In other words, is it possible there's a still a problem with the speedict-bluetooth connection at times?
Mine plays silly beggars sometimes when first connecting (if bluetooth is already on it knocks out when speedict tries to connect) but seemed to be fine when out on the road, as far as I can tell.
the logic behind bluetooth status is :Thanks d8veh: Funny that - with my phone (galaxy note v4.0.4) If bluetooth is already on, connecting speedict turns it off!
hi wurly,Hi Danny
Call me impatient, but i've reloaded the firmware. All went ok.
I have retried setting the parameters in 'throttle mode' again
port 1 = speed
port 2 = thottle i/p
port 3 = temp
port 4 = throttle o/p
It works, sort of!
the throttle response is crazy, i have tried various gain values etc but cannot fine tune enough for riding.
I have sent you a log file.

also be careful when select road legal 2 mode because i have seen you entered pas sensor magnet to 1, normally should have 5 magnet on pas sensor disc, and also entered 1 cadence rpm = 100% power ...OK Danny
The log file you see was the last settings i tried. I have tried speed/gain and time/gain at 50 previously.
I have ordered a bike stand to lift the rear wheel to make testing easier. When that arrives i will try again with throttle type disabled. Give me a few days.
Well, so much for that - flecc informs me I can't post in Technical so, with no other forum available, I'll constrain my posts to speedict related & put them here.I
In future, I'll only post in Technical, as my general bike-related posts are catered for in other forums (fora?)
