Thanks, just tried and at the moment the silverfish style 48v 20ah is out of stock but looks promising. I’ve signed up and will keep trying, Thanks again.
As regards the Ali listing, we searched for a long time trying to sort what did not sound right, and only chose this one because of the communications that we had.
There are many multiple listings on Ali that look similar, and if there are any genuine e-bike batteries on there they are buried in fakes.
To make matters worse, Ali refused to help. Once you got through the chatbot I was told that ‘they do not do monetary refunds if the battery is confirmed to be ‘not as described’. The seller only offered partial refunds, and blamed his supplier. We think, but can’t prove that PayPal only changed their tune because we informed them that we had started a case with Action Fraud and the UKICC, we can’t say for definite, but it all happened at the same time.
Anyway I promised myself I would not rant, just put it down to experience, it was just an anxious couple of months all in all. After all ‘it’s only money!!!’

Shame you didn't ask before buying, but I like your attitude. I hope soon you will get your batteries with enough juice to enjoy scenic rides.

...and please post some pictures so we could enjoy them too.

It doesn't let me order again. It only shows shipping from germany, and when I select UK as my country, it says "no option". Even if I select Germany as my country, it still says no option. Will it except orders from you?

It's a weird website - you have to unclick everything first (Germany is preselected, unclick), then select country at the bottom (default is USA), then select "Ships from", then "Voltage+Capacity".

OK, I sorted it, but when it's all said and done, it comes to £214 for two.

BTW, they're not silver fish batteries. They're for one type of folding bike with in-frame batteries. You need the connecting plate to be any use, otherwise, you have to take off the end and make your own connection system.

Have you got three in the shopping cart? Price with delivery to London:

60427

If they offered 36V at that price and capacity, I'd consider buying one to fettle onto my bike somehow, but not to run in parallel with the other battery.

Thanks, I did again and got the same as I did before, which was for two. Ithen did it a third time and I got the two for £156.93. They're perfect for the project I have running.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Probably an issue caused by shopping cart cookie processing.

You've almost bought them out! There's only one left!

Great that you got the two at the lower price. They are about 700 watt hours each so thats 1400 wh for £156. Not bad...
I will probably open the battery and connect in but I will test the battery first before breaking the seals in case there is a problem (I have a homemade set of leads with ends that I made up by cutting and filing two brass neutral pins from 13A plugtops so I can test the battery with a load).

All I need is the cell-packs, so I'm happy.

My battery arrived today (to Ireland) well boxed and sealed along with its charger, connector and plate, a spare fuse and a set of keys that turn on the battery. Its storage voltage read at 49.5v. I done a full charge and discharge into a load and all looks very well.

Mine arrived yesterday. They also look pretty good. I was very happy to see that they provided the matching battery connector plate, which will be very useful for my application. I haven't done anything with them yet. Definitely a bargain at £150 for the pair. £150 would be cheap for one of them.
