I don't buy your argument. I believe Putin wants to annex Ukraine.
If the West does see it through to the end as Starmer said, that fairy story could be the conclusion with Russia in possession, since they will never lose and hand back all the territory won. But Ukraine and the West will give up and agree terms long before that, so Ukraine will not be annexed.

China wants Manchuria back. The way I see it, Putin can't win on both front in the long run.

What makes you think Manchuria is in question, that is another Western fantasy. The whole point of Putin's peace agreements with China from 2003 to the present was to end the long history of border conflict, open the border and repopulate eastern Russia, something that Russia itself had miserably failed to achieve.

Since then the Chinese have poured into eastern Russia, setting up businesses and living there. Both Putin and Jinping see this as making perfect sense, eastern Russia's population is oriental anyway, China and Russia have innately opposite population problems, China too many, Russia not enough, Russia energy rich, China energy poor.

So this peaceful solution is all that's needed by either and war would serve no purpose with the Chinese increasingly becoming in possession there. That doesn't disturb Putin or Jingpin at all since they are allies with a common joint ambition and deep respect for each other.

You're completely deluded from watching too much MSM. The Russians have been winning that war since the day it started.
TASS reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 906,500 servicemen—killed and wounded—since the beginning of the special military operation.
The number of military personnel killed and wounded in 2024 alone was 462,500. This is more than the total number of losses in 2022 and 2023.

The Russians advanced another 100sq km yesterday. The Ukranian front lines have all but collapsed. Every day without fail, the front lines move forward in favour of the Russians.

Did you see the hypersonic ICBM that the Russians fired at Dnipro? There is no defence against that, and it can carry nuclear warheads. That was clearly a shot across the bows - probably a final warning.

They did the same to Putin over Ukraine: They kept poking him untill he reacted.

Delusional propaganda right out of the Kremlin.

I cant believe you REALLY think this is true. The Russians lost about 40,000 killed and wounded last month. Why do you think that Putin has hired 100,000 North Korean slave soldiers - swapped for tankers of oil.

I think in the end, the giant Russian population and their allies in NK will eventually supply enough cannon fodder to ultimately over run the far smaller Ukrainian population of soldiers, but all that has been seen since the beginning of the war is that Russia is only capable of supplying vast numbers of men who are compelled to walk forward, ill-equipped and resourced into the killing zone. Their equipment is hopeless, their logistics are utterly inadequate and all they have is numbers. Let's be clear - a so called super power, thought it would walk into Kiev in a few days and nearly three years later it is bogged down with a million casualties in fighting a population a quarter its size.

Putin hoped to see off NATO and show how invincible he was. In fact, he showed exactly the opposite. They got their ar ses kicked for two and a half years and in the end, only the reluctance of allies to supply arms to Ukraine stopped his men being completely defeated.

In the end - what troubles me is why should people in Ukraine be the slaves of the Russian empire? They have EVERY right to choose their own leaders and their own associations without consulting Russia. I don't care what they choose as long as it is THEY who choose it.

Considering that Russia has depended so far on half a million artillery shells from NK and countless Iranian drones, I suspect that their own capability to prosecute the war unsupported, is dubious. Now that they are depending on a hundred thousand slave soldiers from Kim Jong Ill, they don't seem to be as invincible as once I thought they were. I really thought back at the start of this Special Military Operation that it would be over in a week. Putin thought so too. But what we saw was incompetence, ineptitude and inadequate equipment, originally they were stuck in mud with flat tyres, no food and no fuel, and broken down hardware. Within days it was clear the Russian Bear was in a bad way. Putin - to give him his due, and he is nothing if not a bright lad, has desperately tried to sharpen up his military, but they seem dulled by Vodka or some other soporific substance. Almost three years later and with flagging support in terms of arms from western allies for Ukraine, Putin is at last on a roll, but don't forget that it has taken two and three quarter years for them to wear down Ukraine to the present situation.

In the end, Putin cares not how many men he throws into the constant slaughter as long as his own despotic and delusional rule continues. It was always entirely pointless and a tantrum by a psychopath with absolute power.

Perhaps more disgusting of all are the western parrots who squawk his line.

Ukraine has the right to elect its own leaders and decide on its own associations. The way so many have willingly gone to their deaths to defend these rights shows that this is THEIR CHOICE and their democratic will.

I support that. I have no view at all about what Ukrainians do as long as their own people decide by democratic means on the course their nation takes. If they willingly choose to be a Russian satellite - what do I care? If they reject that course, the choice is theirs to make.

If jin Ping wants to continue to flood Europe and America with manufactured goods, he had better think twice about how much support he gives to Putin. I think he knows this. He is far shrewder than most of us.

We can turn off the tap easily enough and his population will become restive and start to question how infallible the Chinese Communist Party really is and whether they should continue to hold it in high esteem. Systems like that always seem unshakeable - until they are not.

Ceausescu realises his game is up.

Within about 24 hours he and his wife had been executed. Same thing happened to Qaddafi.

You REALLY have no clue about my history here. I foretold and supported the downfall of the last government, because of its incompetence and its failure to deliver what it had promised. Check my history.

They WILL get their just deserts. They trashed a massive majority fooling around, divided, squabbling among themselves, elected an idiot as leader who lasted six weeks, and failed to deliver on illegal migrants. On top of that, rather than stop the haemorrhaging of people out of the workforce in their fifties, rather than reform the wages of low paid workers such as those in the care sector, and improving their conditions, they imported around 120,000 people in a single year on care visas! These no doubt worthy folk, also brought about 80,000 dependants with them. Nobody in government seems to have asked what the impact of 764,000 net inward migration in 2022 and 685,000 in 2023 would have on the cost of housing - rental costs and inflation of house prices through demand. Rising demand in any vital commodity inevitable raises prices. The utter uselessness of the recent governments is almost legendary - and I say that as a Conservative voter.

Thinking about the scale of that level of migration, and its impact on housing and the environment, remember that the population of Birmingham, our second largest city, is 1.15 million. In TWO YEARS - they exceeded that in adding to the population of our country. Where is the new Birmingham? Where would you build it on this map? Remember, almost all of the newcomers settle in England. Pin the tail on the donkey and show me where we should build the new mega city every two years.

Looking at this satellite picture, remember this: The island next door to the west, Ireland, has one tenth the population of England! One tenth!

Your picture shows nothing. Ireland is mainly small towns and villages of several thousand ,though the majority are considerably smaller than that. Theres probably less than 50 with a population density of 30,000
There is one city in the entirety of Ireland with a population over 1m, the next closest has 100,000
Ireland is a mostly rural country, much like Scotland

Mainland British isles, somewhere I might add that was the birthplace of the industrial revolution and centers of Britain's trades across the globe as well as its export industry have high populations, and have had high populations
London which was pretty much the center of the world in the west, but the others like Manchester at near to 3m, Manchester being a center of the textile trade, again trading across the planet, and did in fact make up and account for 32% of all cotton trade in the world, so much so that it had coined a name for itself ,that being 'Cottonopolis'
so always had a large population of workers.

Other populous towns and cities like Sheffield, Newcastle, Liverpool, were all linked to different trades from steel production, banking.shipbuilding etc

You interest in 'illegal migration'(if indeed there were such a thing' Shows all where your allegiance lies
But it is not surprising, though you seem more than capable of accessing facts that the number of these immigrants is about 20,000 or 25,000 per year and in the grand scheme of immigration and migration make up a tiny proportion.

He's an interesting snippet for you.
Oswald Mosley's ancestor, the 2nd baronet of Ancoats was the person who built the first trading market in Manchester, so played a rather large part to attracting workers to the area.

I take it the name Mosley holds a special place in your heart.

But enough of such trivialities, the main point is without immigration, the country's economy couldn't grow. Or would do at an incredibly slow rate, and Britain would be a small trading nation without any of its long and grand history.

I wonder if you are drinking too much....

We do not live in the eighteenth, or the nineteenth century, when, as it happens some of my ancestors came from Ireland, and Italy. We live right now, when people can not afford a home.

Millions of them are devoting a vast proportion of their earnings to the competition with others to put a roof over their heads, even to the extent that they have little left to spend on other things - the sort of things that I warrant, you and I were easily able to afford.

And why is this?

It is because we are importing so many people even legally - with visas - that our construction industry can not keep up with the number of homes required to even keep pace with the rising numbers, let alone the backlog of never constructed homes to house the ten or eleven million people who were not born in this land who have come here since the mid 1990s.

THIS is why your children if you have them, can barely afford a home, be it rented or bought on mortgage. THIS is why the multiple of salary allowed in the building society affordability test has risen from the three times annual salary that it was when i bought my first house to five or seven, depending on where the desired house is.

You think you know me sir - you do not - so do not talk of Moseley, the fascist, to me.

We do not use migrants to make this country great - we use them to hold down wages and working conditions.

We use them to provide cheap nannies and cleaners for the better off and we use them to wipe the ar ses of our drooling aged in care homes - not because we need them. We have twenty percent of the working age population out of work.

We use them because we can get their services so cheaply, that in the short term, it seems to pay, but it will not continue thus. For they will also need services and in the end, the lowly paid will never be net payers into the Chancellors money box. They will be taking out of it even from day one when they have their own children here.

Instead of paying properly for many of these roles, we pay the bare minimum.

As a craftsman, you may have seen some of this problem. the much vaunted Polish Plumber - no doubt a good fellow on his own, was used to avoid paying the British Plumber a wage he could accept - a wage that would put a roof over his head and leave plenty for his other needs. He was used to avoid training plumbers who came from this country. Why bother? No need to train more plumbers when you could bring in cheap plumbers, brick layers, care workers and all the rest. Why not just let in all comers and let the population already here go hang?

This is why - like many others I say we have gone down a very wrong path. It is not out of racism. I look forward to the day when Kemi Baddenoch is Prime Minister.

Trump will push up costs for us all in the UK. Labour are screwed and Parliament will be filled with a cavalcade of internet trolls like the White House. Labour could win next time by printing money/Quantitative Easing for the people, giving it to every registered voter in the form of trusts from which funds are relesed after the next election, contigent on them winning. Trusts, so the money can't immediately be spent increasing inflation between now and then. They could dynamically stagger (or postpone) trust release timings to manage inflation rises, stimulating the economy as money is inevitably spent or invested.
