there is only one reality, we live it, share it. Why do you want to question it? Your reply reminds me of the invention of the number i, the imaginary number. Does physics need the number i to explain the world around us? For the majority of us, no.
No - I think he is right to question everything, including why he prefers unregulated, non-professional sources of information to what some people call, 'the mainstream media', or anything coming out of a research institute or university research department.

In America especially, among many of the Trump persuasion, they regard that term as unsavoury a thing as being thoroughly dishonest. They actually hate people who have an education, and know anything, as opposed to just spouting conspiracy theory and home spun memes. They think that these kinds of people are out to trick them. They believe that Bill Gates funded vaccines containing nano sized microchips to take over their brains or track them or something. Tell them anything different and they get hostile and claim that you are part of the conspiracy.

The sites where this stuff proliferates often host adverts for medical cures trying to tempt those who know no better, with slogans such as, 'The secret that your dermatologist doesn't want you to know.' You can substitute dermatologists with any number of other medical specialities. The slogan implying that your 'dermatologist is a fraud, will be followed by some cranky home spun cure. They are also dead set against getting vaccinated. I saw one advocating curing skin cancer by rubbing some noxious weed onto the lesion that burned into the skin, supposedly curing melanoma..... Good luck with that, but anyway - far better than going to someone who is one of those dodgy dermatologists, isn't it? Experts? Knowledge? Science? Who needs them?

I hope that mad fker doesn't come driving up behind me on my electric bike, ranting and waving his letters. He will end up killing somebody on a bike one day.

You do know he is making money out of Youtube don't you Mikel?

Everybody always knew the government would need to recover the lost fuel duty as more people went electric. Anyone who is surprised has been asleep.

When you dream, it's a different reality that's very real when you're in it. I dreamt that I woke up, which gave me two versions of reality, then I woke up into the reality from where I'm typing this. That makes three. Will I wake up again into a fourth reality?

I don't prefer anything or any source. I play devil's advocate and ask myself is there any way or reason that a source might not be trustworthy or not telling the truth.

In some cases, I've seen things with my own eyes, then I've seen the MSM report on what I saw. When they give a completely different story, I feel justified in not trusting them when they report on things I haven't seen.

Think of the Hunter Biden laptop story. 51 senior security officials signed a letter that guided people to believe that the story was Russian disinformation. Why would they do that? Did they all wake up one morning and have a revellation? The MSM laundered that letter to run articles that the laptop story was false. Any sensible person could see that it was real. It was subsequently proved to be real. Some of you guys still believe that the laptop story is false. I told you all it was real back in 2020. The FBI had it all the time because the repair shop guy gave it to them and had a receipt for it.

I hope so. One day you may see that conspiracy theory world was just an illusion. :)

Sorry - just couldn't stop myself. Put me on ignore. I would.

No need to kill Trump, he's going to lose anyway. Harris is on course to take 6 swing states out of 7.
Did you see what trump did yesterday? He gave his microphone a fell...o in front of thousands of his rally goers.
How such a rude person became a potus? Good heaven!

The Butterfly Dream
Chuang Tzu was a philosopher in ancient China, who, one night went to sleep and dreamed that he was a butterfly. He dreamt that he was flying around from flower to flower and while he was dreaming he felt free, blown about by the breeze hither and thither. He was quite sure that he was a butterfly. But when he awoke he realised that he had just been dreaming, and that he was really Chuang Tzu dreaming he was a butterfly. But then Chuang Tzu asked himself the following question: "was I Chuang Tzu dreaming I was a butterfly or am I now really a butterfly dreaming that I am Chuang Tzu?"

If you just take tank to wheel efficiency for a small modern petrol car, over a typical range of driving, I've never seen anything like 40% - the highest I have seen is 28% for "motorway" type driving at 60mph and more like 10-13% on urban cycles - averaging 16-20% over typical cycles. I can't believe there are any petrol cars that average anywhere near 40% T2W efficiency for a typical range of driving
I went down to Newcastle on Thursday and here is the fuel consumption and journey detail for the trip.

The journey is mostly on the A69 - about 35 miles on that, and then around urban roads in the city to where I was going.

Consumption on the trip was 69.1 miles per gallon. I can't say what efficiency it was on a percentage basis, but it is a bloody efficient machine.
