Besides, I am fed up with Putin constantly threaten the West with unleashing their nuclear weapons on us even when we haven't threatened them with anything.
The threat of his nuclear arsenal is all he's got to deter NATO from physically entering the Ukraine conflict. Biden has threatened quid pro quo.

And to say we haven't threatened anything is a travesty of the truth. NATO was set up solely as opposition to the USSR, but has been used to attack a wide range of countries since.

When Russia conceded victory to the west in the cold war, wanting to join Western Europe and in an extraordinarily generous gesture disbanded the USSR, the West should have reciprocated by disbanding NATO. Instead the USA continued to expand NATO in an attempt to militarily seal off Russia, not only from west but also from south, showing how real a threat NATO is to Russia. That is why Putin is correct when he says the west caused the current war, since his action against Ukraine was to keep NATO from sealing Russia off any further so therefore defensive.

I know you will automatically disagree with me, but ask yourself first. Who has spent the last 70 years continuously attacking lots of other independent countries they have no connection with? It's the USA and NATO.

And who has Russia been attacking in all that time? No independent country at all until the defensive actions against Georgia and Ukraine to prevent the sealing off by their enemy NATO.

That the west rejected Russia's and Putin's attempt to be a part of Western Europe twenty years ago, driving them into China's arms, is perhaps the greatest act of political lunacy and foolish strategy in history.

Arrival has departed. A couple of years back, they were valued at $13 billion. Now they've filed for bankruptcy before selling a single van.

.
It has been suggested that this is a "Green Grifters" 'Pump and Dump' scam. Where a startup grabs as much investment and gov money as they can and then go bust on schedule?
Bit like the "green" windmills and solar panels that make so much "free", electricity, its at record high prices!

It's a "heads I win, tails you lose" situation. They didn't need to worry about whether it would work or not. Either way, they have a mountain of cash to manage, from which they could pay themselves huge salaries and spend the money on contracts to friends, who give them half of it back. Any sensible potential investor should be able to figure out that it was never going to work because it's a product that nobody wants. It wouldn't surprise me if it was just a way to launder money, though, as there were a lot of big investments from the usual offenders.

As you predicted, I disagree on a number of points. Russia is only a super power on fossil fuels. 145 million people, most live in poverty, with purchasing power below the average Chinese. Russia runs into the arms of China to circumvent sanctions. Putin continues to threaten western Europe like Kim-Jung Un does against South Korea and Japan because Putin needs the Russian people to believe they are under threat of the EU and the USA. By threatening us, he hopes that we'll threaten them in return thus proving him right. Ukraine is where the Russian scientists came from, the centreof learning and technology besidesthe grain basket for 30%-40% of the world. Putin knows that Ukraine will prosper very well if it is integrated into the EEA or EU, so will inevitably forment political change in Russia.

"In the shadowy realm of cyber warfare, a formidable force has emerged out of China: an advanced persistent threat (APT) group known as Volt Typhoon. The group's recent activities represent a concerning strategic shift from conventional espionage to preparing for disruption in the event of significant conflict or crisis."

A typical American answer, avoiding the questions and replying with distortions.

Russia is only a super power on fossil fuels.
Untrue, Russia with its huge land mass is a superpower on all resources, the envy of the USA with much of its own resources already spent.

Russia runs into the arms of China to circumvent sanctions.
Blatantly untrue, ignoring the facts. Long, long before there were any sanctions and when Putin's attempts to join with Europe as a partner were rejected in 2000 by the USA, he turned to China to end the long history of conflict on their border and their agreement of friendship and co-operation was signed in 2001. Since then that agreement has been reinforced several times as US hostility increased. The agreements are as much economic as anything else since Russia had always failed to populate their east adequately. Since then the Chinese have entered eastern Russia in large numbers and established themselves well both economically and culturally with Russia's oriental population.

Putin continues to threaten western Europe like Kim-Jung Un does against South Korea and Japan because Putin needs the Russian people to believe they are under threat of the EU and the USA.
Now he does, in answer to our aggressive responses since the iron curtain was taken down by Russia. The USA's expansion of NATO on the Western flank was all from before year 2000, extending to attempting to enrol Georgia and Ukraine in the south from 2004 on.

NATO was originally the response to Stalin's USSR post WW2 hostility. If we had disbanded NATO when the USSR was disbanded, none of these events you comment on could ever have occurred, Putin would never have become known.

Ukraine is where the Russian scientists came from, the centreof learning and technology besides the grain basket for 30%-40% of the world.
Only true in part, more northerly Russia has long been a centre of science, technology, medicine and the arts. So much so that the Muscovites once ruled the whole Russian empire. Much of Ukraine's engineering was established there by Russia during the USSR era. And you ignore that Ukraine and Ukrainians are Russian peoples over hundreds of years anyway, only given nationhood in 1917 by Russia's Lenin. Even today they are hardly a nation, half of them including the Ukrainians speaking Russian and Polish full time, among other languages.

Putin knows that Ukraine will prosper very well if it is integrated into the EEA or EU, so will inevitably forment political change in Russia.
That is far from a safe bet. This conflict is hiding their fragmentation, nationally, politically, culturally and politically, and their population scattering around the west uncertain to ever return is making that worse. Not to even mention the additional loss of 20% of their country and people in the south and east.

Ukraine with only grain and mineral resources has always been very poor, so I cannot see the EU being able to accept them as an economic member of the union and the euro for very many years, perhaps decades.

Russia wanted to join the eu and without them would of lost ww2 as they lost the most amount of ppl to get the job done.

if the usa is not at war it is not making any money and Ukraine will be paying this back for decades to come.

corruption and greed is the wests agenda and if the twats never gave up there nukes it would of never happened.

just say i lived next door to you and said hey come round and look at my nuclear missile collection :p

It's not going well for the EV industry at the moment. I guess we also have to be careful about stating the emissions from our ebikes. I'm OK because mine is charged from zero emissions sources, though there were lots of emissions when my bike and charging system were manufactured:

i have a good idea lets make a laptop with no serviceable parts wont sell the parts and after 5 years tells the os via update ur done and throw it in to the bin and buy a new one.

now put that part in to a car and if 1 thing goes wrong out of warranty you cant tow it down to the tip.

why have a car for ten 20 years why not make them renewable after 5 more profit in it as that's all the corporations care about they dont give a crap about the planet or what they are doing to it bombs away mofos :p

Countries are not forced to join NATO.
They join because of the fear autocrats like Putin inflict on them. The nearer they are to Putin's Russia, the more they feel they need NATO.
Russia can inflict a lot of deaths and destruction but can't win a war with NATO.
