Grandiose delusions evident above I think. You also seem completely unaware of your own tendency to confirmation bias.

It isn't shallow to be wary of my own biases. You seem to systematically sift out evidence that does not support your views.

I am cautious about sources, their qualifications and credibility and try to stay on top of my tendency to grab 'evidence' which confirm my own views.

I also have a strong suspicion of internet chat about conspiracy. I think that is very well founded. Most of it - probably 99% is total rubbish.

As to the issue of the New Jersey Drones. I read an article this morning about the subject on the BBC news site. Not a source you would read I think - a problem of your own making. In it, I picked up an interesting clue. These drones have been seen around the Picatinny Arsenal, an important, top secret government research centre.....

Clue?

I think it may be.

If the US department of defence is not involved in designing and testing military drones of all kinds and seeking ways to both disrupt them and to proof them against disruption by electronic means they are asleep on the job. It just happens that they have a research centre - bang in the middle of the area where these drones are being seen.

If they were involved in drone research (which they must be) and if the drones being reported were their own, it would account for the shoulder shrugging and platitudinous remarks about the fact that the drones are harmless to the public.
That's right..
They can't do it all in Area 51, it's too small?!
And there's no people to tell you if they're able to see the 'dark' drones in 'wisper' mode, or not. That's no fun, hehe :)
Can't tell the local authorities, coz its 'secret'? ;-)

So, the military developed new drones and decided to light them up like Christmas trees and fly them over residential areas every night for three weeks, just to make sure that everybody knows they have them, then, when anybody asks them what they're doing, they say they don't know anything about it. Yup, that all makes sense - to an unsensible person anyway. Maybe the first thing Trump will do is shut down all their secret military testing grounds in the Navada desert because they don't need them anymore. I think the DOGE team are offering bonuses to anybody who makes cost savings suggestions, so I'll send that one off before you get a chance.
I note the drones have also been seen over the Ramstien, American airbase in Germany.

Bit by bit, the evidence starts to suggest that the drones are likely to be American Dept of Defence devices under test. I don't assert that they are, I just hypothesise that they may be - and that there is a high likelihood of that being the case.

The apparent unconcern of the American authorities also points that way. How likely is it that they would show so little interest if there was ANY possibility that some unknown actors were flying large drones about their secret air bases and residential areas. The American law enforcement and military authorities are not known for an indolent lack of curiosity - on the contrary, if a credible complaint arises they are on it with a pretty ferocious tenacity.

So - no - I don't think it is me that is being 'silly'. I think it is the army of twitter/telegram/X squad who are as usual, making up nonsense scares and then disrespecting people who think they are mistaken.

Don't expect the Americans to come out and tell us what their new drone programme is doing. That would be a pretty stupid move.

Cyborg cockroaches can now be mass-produced in a robotic factory. Pleasant dreams
Robots can implant electronics on insects to produce cybernetically controlled bugs in just over a minute, researchers say

So now "Eat Ze Bugs" doesn't have to be delivered?
It crawls to you , on the sofa, and you say..
"Where are the fries?" :)

More on drones - a different idea to the one I put forward. Not from a source I would rate that highly, but interesting maybe....

Locked behind a paywall, so I can't see it, but any mention of Russia or Iran is misdirection. They have USA compliant navigation lights.

From the small amount I can read, that article reminds me of the letter from those 53 security chiefs that said the Hunter Biden laptop had "all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation"

Some of the drones look like these delivery drones:

One photo looks something like this one:

One suggestion is that they want to restrict the use of private drones, which have a lot of freedom to fly in places that are uncomfortable for various institutions at the moment
I can believe that, but getting such past the American people would take a lot more than claiming its from a foreign power. The yank public are very big on accountability.

I mean you've seen their rockets. The UK public has water or air powered rockets as a hobby, but as ever in the States they do things big. Some of their 'toy' rockets are ICBM sized.
A student built one hit 340,000 feet travelling at over mach5.
Thats basically into space

Interesting video about them here. Some BS is included, but a lot of good footage, including what looks like some sort of crash, though could be unrelated. There are other reports of one of the drones crashing elsewhere.

Standing charge to be scrapped for some new tariffs to give low user consumers more choice and slightly cheaper bills.
First time foe some 300 pages or more for a post on the line of the actual thread heading.

does it matter another 16 trillion ponzi scheme? didn't you say the dollar is worthless?
Trump will run the dollar to the ground anyway on the basis that it's overvalued.

You can buy ESTES rocket motors in the UK to make proper model rockets. I used to do that with my sons twenty-five years ago and my youngest son is going to do it with his older lad who is six now. We made the bodies out of two centimeter diameter paper tubes coated with white glue and rolled around a dowel former. A sheet of A4 printer paper is all you need. They could be used over and over again until you lost them . Glue on balsa fins and craft a nose cone. They had small parachutes and would go about 1500 feet in the air with an ESTES C6 motor.

Solar Flap Assoc says "need more solar Flaps to stop warming", what a surprise, kerching.
The existing Flaps all blew down, but they are busy burying them and planning many more. On the "Windy" Island famous for wet, cloudy weather!

Don't be such a dinosaur. The UK is generating over 21 Gwatts of power right now with what you call flaps.

Over the last year, 31% of our electric power has come from wind. When it is there, which is mostly, it's a no brainer to use the wind. It is vastly the cheapest form of electric generation. Right now, the UK grid is buying power from all the generators at 7 pence per kilowatt hour.

The campaign you are running here is just stupid.

Never mind, your country is doing its bit for the green revolution:

Ionity opens Ireland's largest high powered charging station, their Dublin site represents another milestone in the country’s mission for 40% of cars to be electric by 2030.
