Meanwhile back out there in the real world MTB riders continue to ride at speeds in excess of any e-bike out there, pss Flud don't show it to your ranger friend he might have a heart attack.
I wasn't suggesting it's relevance to any particular geographical region, merely that it is another portal with a big audience through which you can express your opinions. If you read their intro/ rules for pedelecs you,ll notice a 20 mph limit..yes not a great deal but completely different.
They also have completely different attitude to "off road"..in that they have one...afraid ours went years ago...
So yes it might be international but relevant to uk...not really..
I ride these tracks a lot, and as an ex World Cup level DH racer I can get up to pretty good speed....BUT as has been mentioned many many many times before speed IS NOT relevant BECAUSE going fast isn't illegal!Meanwhile back out there in the real world MTB riders continue to ride at speeds in excess of any e-bike out there, pss Flud don't show it to your ranger friend he might have a heart attack.
No point telling me that, tell the people in this thread who think it's about the speed of bikes.I ride these tracks a lot, and as an ex World Cup level DH racer I can get up to pretty good speed....BUT as has been mentioned many many many times before speed IS NOT relevant BECAUSE going fast isn't illegal!
riding an illegal ebike up there even at 5 mph puts the rider at risk of lots of problems should they be involved in any kind of incident and also risk getting eMTB, and potentially all MTB banned.
Yep , I keep going to other places but end up back at Lady Bower..its brilliant..great place for every level..Sorry no, just send him a message on his youtube page. It's quite an oldish video now.

I had a feeling you'd know some of the tracks in that footage.
I don't think anyone who is anti the sPedelecs and Dongles, thinks its about the speed do they?No point telling me that, tell the people in this thread who think it's about the speed of bikes.
Yawn.KTM
Why don't moderators realise all this ???
Surely they must have some responsibility in it..
There are threads all over place about illegal bikes being used on roads, openly. Its beyond condoning it, Forum almost supports it !!!
feel free to stop posting or reading then, no one is forcing you.Yawn.

They can't be complicit with any liability in something that is legal.I,m surprised with forum owners standpoint? Would they not be complicit in a lawsuit ??? Bet they would..Info is all on here.
YAWNAlan
You seem quite an intelligent bloke, rather than mock what is essentially a realistic and plausible argument, please tell me why its such a flawed argument for you to reply " yawn" to my every post , made wholeheartedly with best interest of ebikes/ pedelecs.
I don't understand it ??
A forum sponsored by a company blatantly selling illegal ebikes ? How can that be right ??( If d8veh is correct and he usually is)

He's reminding people of what's at stake. And it's YOUR freedom to own and ride an e-bike, without paying lots of money to the government and climbing through loads of hoops. So what if there bikes are illegal its there choice...not yours why don't you try and keep your opinions to yourself and try and enjoy the forums like the rest of us.
