We commented on this before. Both Downing Street and Chequers are work places for the PM. There's office functions at both, the daily despatch box arives for the PM's attention that day. Both places host cabinet and other meetings like Cobra. There's also reception facilities at both for leaders and diplomats from other countries.Isn't "ill" Boris currently resting at his own Second Home at Chequers in Buckinghamshire, and returning to his main home at Downing Street next week?

So neither is a residence in the sense most understand it, since a prime minister as always on duty, on call, even in the middle of the night.
So as much as I dislike Boris Johnson, I don't think this is a subject for criticism.

and then have to retire. LolNow where does that leave Charles, he's Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, but lives in Gloucestershire.
If I was a copper, the moment he moved I'd stop his car and issue three sixty quid fines.
.
It has actually been specifically denied that Johnson is receiving red boxes. We commented on this before. Both Downing Street and Chequers are work places for the PM. Forgot to add that yesterday they said you are not to `linger`. No mention of that today , that`s a relief .Benjahamin the details are on the BBC Wales Site this morning . The Title is `First day of tougher lockdown rules `. It is described as Legal Guidance . Cyclists are being told they should travel no farther than a `reasonable walking distance from home ` The Cycle Rules are . Cycle alone or with someone from the same house . They must stick to routes they know . Take care of walkers, runners or other cyclists . Two metres apart and stop to let people go by .
Wales wants to lead the World in introducing tighter restrictions when everyone else is doing the opposite . The idiots in charge obviously do not ride bikes .
Knowing I'd done my duty!and then have to retire. Lol
But there's still all the other duties I mentioned, and I doubt he can refuse the red boxes due to the sometimes essential content, other than when ill with a deputy in place. It has actually been specifically denied that Johnson is receiving red boxes.
Reminds me of Apollo Lunar Rover travel guidelines19. Cycling should be local, as a rule of thumb limited to travelling no further than a reasonable walking distance from home.

Chequers, like Downing Street, is a work place with residential facilities.

I mentioned this news item a while back, I think at the time people thought I was nuts but here it is.Could be worse, in Philippines soldiers check your quarantine pass if you're out! 8-o‘Shoot them dead’: Duterte warns against violating lockdown

But that picture shows the donkeys as riders. It's okay to ride donkeys ...
Of course it is double standards .. and why not?. You elect people to be your leaders, you expect them to fly around the world doing business on your behalf, and you give them powers of life and death over you and your loved ones . Like him or loathe him, BJ , Chief Constables , your Admirals etc are your superiors. You have given them this authority. It is unreasonable to expect them to follow the same restrictions... And no this is not irony or sarcasm ,just reality. There is an irony here:
Isn't "ill" Boris currently resting at his own Second Home at Chequers in Buckinghamshire, and returning to his main home at Downing Street next week?
I'll bet he'll be driving back using his private car too, rather than commuting on a Boris Bus as an "essential worker" or cycling using a Boris Bike!
It does smack of double standards!
