I have the zip file named v20.1c.2 and extracted it to a separate C. file of the same name, is this what you are saying ?

If you have done that and installed the ST program into the right folder, start the configurator and check for errors.

I just hope that those files and folders have definitely been extracted, because it won't work if they're in another zip folder, which looks like a real folder containing extracted files.

It's sooo much easier and clearer using (free) Winrar to extract files - all I'd do is simply drag and drop the folder onto c:




...but if you install Winrar on Windows 10, you'd have to associate .zip files with Winrar, because Windows 10 won't do it properly.

If you drag your mouse cursor over all of the files and folders so that they're highlighted, and hold and drag, you can drag them all over at once. When you release, they will copy to the other folder you're dropping them into.

Or you can highlight all and right-click copy. Then go to the folder where you want the files and right click (right click anywhere empty within the destination folder) and select "Paste".

Any yellow folder with a zipper in it, is a zip folder. You can't run your files in a zip folder, they need to be extracted into the right folder and that folder can't have a zipper folder icon.

It needsto be exactly that - note capitals.

I'm not sure I need to do all of that, B-4-2 had a similar issue and never mentioned al this shananigans in dragging and filing, and on ES no one mentions it either.

The STVP_CmdLine . path needs altering as it reads the same as in B-4-2's case, to read STVP_CmdLine. exe as in the Wiki and as B-4-2 has done, I don't know how to add the .exe bit to my missing path.

Files within zip files always need extracting - whether that's with a right-click, or drag or drop or other method, it needs doing first. Sometimes people omit small things like that when it's assumed that everyone knows that sort of thing, but quite honestly not everybody knows what appears basic and obvious to others.

If there are a lot of files in the stm folder, try the configurator. If there is just one file, you need to start the install wizrd and install into the right folder.

No change, the jar doesn't even open with x2 L click or single R click. Just the a black box that shuts immiedately.

Also, something else which is often missed out is use of the command line. If you open the ReadmeJava.txt file, it says:

To run the project from the command line, go to the dist folder and
type the following:

java -jar "JavaConfigurator.jar"

If you run it from the command line, you'll see errors - they won't just flash and disappear.

Select the Windows menu item as shown above in the video

then type exactly:

cd C:TSDZ2-Smart-EBike-1-20.1C

Then hit enter. Then type:

java -jar "JavaConfigurator.jar"

Then hit enter.

When you use the command line, the errors will be visible because they'll stay onscreen.
