Headline news: 60 year old man wins Tour de France, UCI still scratching heads. I watch a lot of science fiction too...

Cycling team to sponsor: "We can win the Tour de France we just need 10 million Euros extra for building cheating electric bicycles, imagine your image when we win the Tour de France!" Sponsor is imagining his image when the team is caught cheating.

Drugs are between the team owner, doctor and the riders. The sponsor is never an insider on drugs.

In your optimism it potentially exists for us, it doesn't factually exist.

That's the difference between us, you take laboratory experimental results as fact while I only recognise technology that's proven in practical applications.

The sort of announcements you quote are ten a penny, and I've long since lost count of them. At times they've appeared weekly, but over the years I've observed them in their thousands, hardly any ever come to fruition. Some of the things you mention were doable many years ago, yet still we haven't got them. The reason is quite simple, all too often the gain is offset by one or more disadvantages and I can quote many examples of that.

When something exists in a practical form that I can buy, let me know. Until then it's just theoretically available and you waste your time trying to convince me of any practical viability without proof.
.
Flecc totally OT but
You can buy a Rotrex supercharger capable of being driven mechanically from engine who,s blades rotate at upto 250 000 rpm. Not many years ago that was impossible for a supercharger.( its not a turbo)
You can buy a micro battery ( had one for starting jetski,s) that will literally fit in your pocket and start V8 engines.( I wouldn't believe it either til I witnessed it)
But its nothing to do with thread. I think mechanical doping is a reality and happening. You think otherwise.
Fine. We will just have to agree to differ. End of.

And in the last century US flew aircraft with atomic reactors aboard and tested nuclear rocket engines, so presumably the tech has now matured and achieved a degree of miniaturisation that a Geiger counter will be needed by scrutineers at the Tour de France to catch out the North Korean team...

Professional Cyclist Gets Six-Year Ban For Using An Illegal Motor In Her Bike

"This decision follows the discovery of a concealed electric motor in one of the rider’s bikes during checks at the Women Under 23 race of the UCI Cyclocross World Championships in January 2016. The bike concerned was scanned using the new magnetic resonance testing deployed this year by the UCI. This detected the motor whilst the bike was in the rider’s pit area. The motor was a Vivax which was concealed along with a battery in the seat-tube. It was controlled by a Bluetooth switch installed underneath the handlebar tape."
