In my opinion, the main problem with 50 cycles is them selling that (swearword removed) not fit for purpose impulse 2 motor and the then the crap customer service you get after on something that has costs thousands of pounds is just a total joke yet still he does not mention it once in his reply's.?

In my opinion the best thing to do with all them bikes is dump the lot in the new shops foundations or convert them to boat anchors.:D

Dear Soundwave,

Our biggest fan! You are not a customer of ours and obviously have a vested interest in the industry, I am guessing a failed ebike store. Otherwise you would not be so passionate and irrational about the subject of Impulse 2.0 which for your factual information is the most widely used and best system in the UK as you well know. Outstripping the sale of any ebike motor Europe wide. All those that did not get a software up date in time had their motors replaced and rollover warranty. Cannot say fairer than that.

No other motors comes with such a long warranty period and there have been zero failures since the software updates, so any lucky owner can ride in the knowledge that they own the best of the best.

You have no facts to substantiate your remarks and maybe Admin should look at your postings as well before they get in trouble for libellous comments.

My previous emails if you read them carefully are aimed at you too. Go back over them with yourself in mind and they will make more sense to you.

Hide behind your pseudo persona keyboard warrior master. Nice gloves and socks combo

Love you to bits Soundwave, keep oscillating won't you empty vessel.

Kind regards

Scott :)

Don't worry about SW he manages fine as passionate and irrational. He also has a fine line of helpful advice and support for the technically challenged.
But he does echo a strong feeling here about the modern impulses.
Your older kalhoff was a very strongly recommended bike as robust and reliable. The shock and discomfort the new one had with its issues led to the kick back.

Scott, Pack in posting on this thread as you have obviously made a serious mistake and ARE now coming across as raving. You have lost credibility for both your business and yourself.

Since joining the electric bike industry 9 years ago, from a background in education, social services and construction, I've always been impressed by how cooperative fellow competitors can be, especially when I was active on the board of BEBA.

During my time in Construction there was a large element of p*** taking one another, Educators were always telling each other what to do and as for Social Workers - well I almost drowned in a sea of concern for mutual well-being: suffocated by love.

This thread, I have to say to all readers, is an exception to my own experience of how this industry generally operates, especially amongst the smaller independent brands.

To both sides I say your argument is leading nowhere and you should now take it elsewhere. Please show a little more professionalism and rub your chins. It does not reflect well on the industry.

Our position on this for clarification before I lock this thread:

As you know Scott, we will and do amend incorrect facts. However SW’s post was quite clearly his honest opinion and fair comment based on reading the genuine personal experiences of others on this thread, whose Impulse 2 motors have failed:
http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/ongoing-reliability-of-kalkhoff-focus-impulse-2-motors.24290/

For the avoidance of doubt I have amended the post to clearly state that what follows in his post is SW’s opinion.

If you wish for me to consider any amends to SW’s post above could you or your solicitor advise on what legal basis on email.

Thank you for clarifying as fact that no further motors have failed since a software update Scott.

General note: I would usually have considered deleting SW’s opinion in his last para as inflammatory (inflammatory comments can be removed at our discretion but we are not legally obliged to do so) but since Scott’s own posts have been inflammatory I will let that stay to ensure evenhandedness in this thread.

Since it looks to me as though all parties have had their right to reply and this thread is unlikely to achieve anything further I will shortly lock it. Any final posts to be of a constructive nature only please.
