Hi All,
Well at least the forum has got something interesting to talk about its been a bit stale for a while and not seen so many views since our last posting.
Thank for the interest in us!
To answer some of the odd questions or points on this thread.
Firstly I do not drink nor do I need a drink to speak my mind. I am more relaxed and happy than you can imagine. The only reason I came to be on this forum is that I had an alert on my phone that Dv8 or David was making snide remarks about my business and thought better to contact him directly to see whats up. I am glad it has been a source of entertainment for the haters out there a full transcript for your viewing to speculate, decipher and dwell on can be provided.
We have moved property HQ for the first time since 2009 because we simply grown out of 2000sft and now own our own property and moved in May last year to a 10000sqft property which we are very proud of.The building could not be more perfect for our purpose.
We are just refurbishing our new show room in Loughborough and invite anybody to come down and meet the wonderful friendly team we have and ride a good selection of electric bikes and have a cup of tea with us. We have moved shops a couple of times in London to try and find the perfect place for us which will be happening again this year as I think we have just about achieved this. Fingers crossed.
Our accounts for 2016 will be showing high growth and profitability which is very exciting for us as we have always led the way in the industry ever since 2003 introducing the first ever pedelecs by Honda and Pansonic. Introducing to the UK market Ezee, Kalkhoff, Panasonic 2:1, Impulse, Evo, Speed pedelecs, Ubco, Zero, Nuke lights and much more. We have some very exciting new development in 2017 to come so watch this space. This is our passion for the business, this is what we do.
50cycles was established and founded by two brothers inspired by a business trip to Japan who shared a passion to provide the best and latest electric bike technology to the UK market and to provide the best customer service in a new industry which we knew nothing about and probably still do not! However we are still driven to continue to do to this each day and hopefully get more people experiencing the joys of electric cycling which actually tends to get lost on this forum.
I am sure Russell who loved his Ezee bike founded this forum to achieve exposure of the market which sadly has been mutated in to something quite negative and damaging to the industry as a whole as people forget why they own an ebike in the first place. Get on yer bike is what I say. Flecc was an amazing contributor to this fourm and helped our business early on by providing key information to help us through difficult times with some problems we had with the Ezee bikes of which we are still very grateful for his efforts.
I wish that all the companies that I deal with in my day to day business were so flexible to deal with us as ourselves. Happy to step outside the usual remits that other businesses are constrained by through large board decisions. It is just me an my bro on the board and we react quickly to the business demands and the market environments. Obviously none of this happens without the 20 fantastic team member around us. Some of you will have had the pleasure of dealing with others behind the scenes that make the difference. Our business is like a family to our employees and customers a like. This upsets the haters out there that may be lacking this love in their own lives. Come on board you are all welcome.
The private discussion below was sent to try and understand Davids comments and rational when I have never personally met him or has he had any dealings with our company and he is certainly not a customers so I was just wondering how he got his perception of our business other than the Chinese whispers on this forum created by people with a Pseudo and an agenda to gain a competitive advantage born out of fear. If David is offended by my questions then maybe he should not make such unfounded remarks and revert to the saying of those in glass houses should not throw stones. I too am offended by his remarks but expect no such apology by such a good bloke as described on his profile. Needless to say I did not receive a phone call from David to raise his concerns in person.
As a business we stay out of the industry politics and only deal with those that concern us on a business to business basis, this can sometimes be deemed as arrogant but it is more of a discipline to stay focused and literally put our blinkers on to make sure we provide the best products and services to our own customers. Nothing else matters to us. What our competitors do or the rest of the industry do is of little concern. We are not in the cycle industry, we are not in the motor industry, we just do what we do. If somebody does not like this or agree with that it is up to them as it does not change our direction or our will to simply provide the best of the best, always in always.
I prefer in life to deal with matters directly and believe modern business should be transparent, open, honest and would ask any body to contact me directly for an open discussion or looking for answers to any concerns that they may have to
scott@50cycles.com. If asking someone to be honest to themselves and to question why they think what they think or say what they say as an insult then I apologies for that but it still does beg the question of why David has an issue with our company when we have never met or had any direct dealings with him before. I am sure David is a wonderful person in real life when not hiding behind his pseudo keyboard persona.
The forum members wonder why no industry people really come on here anymore!
That is it from me for another year so if you have any other questions about me, my business, colleagues or products simply email me directly for an honest and open answer. No second guessing is needed.
This reply on the post is meant to be positive and enable an insight in to the motivation behind our business but I am sure the haters out there will find some little subtext to rip apart and twist into something negative. It seems like this is the only joy in some peoples heart. Lynch mob you are free to hang me by my own rope.
Kind regards
