Still, not my cup of tea. Perhaps you can let us know how you get on with the gear.

well the helmet is loads better than my older 1 fits lots better and dont sweat with it on like the old 1 and a lot stronger. also comes with a cam mount for a go pro ect.

it has a dial at the back so can clamp it to my head better as well, knee pads are also comfortable to wear tho cant compare them to any as they my first ones should stop my knees getting cut up down the canal paths ect.

cant get the elbow pads on atm as 1 side cut and other cant bend it all the way atm ;(

tho tbh i just wear the helmet and gloves for just riding round and will use it all for the forest ect as i come of this thing going 30mph ill be in hospital with out it.

Two bikes prepped to perfection, and all set for the trip to Switzerland tomorrow morning.

Sadly only one loaded and going though. :( I twisted my knee again just getting out of the car, and driving is now going to be bad enough, and riding the pedal mtb is just too much of an uncertainty now, so it seems pointless dragging it 650 miles, and then not being able to ride it.
I also popped out yesterday evening for a 15 mile ride just to see how the other injuries were standing up. Put it this way, it wasn't long before I rode most of the 15 miles one handed. This is going to be a good trip!

You obviously haven't tried to send a battery abroad then! It's simply not practical. Too many restrictions and even if you can get round them, the cost is prohibitive.

Something rings a bell about being able to send a battery if it's part of a complete bike.

My Rose was air freighted by DHL.

Out for a few hours earlier today and remembered to take a couple more photos this time...

Still loving the Cube!

Steeper than it looks and lots of 'ledges' on the way down to jump off...

A nice place to stop for some light refreshments...

If the link works, here is the first ride of the holiday, which also goes to show the bull about battery range. One bar remaining after a nine mile, near on 5,000ft climb. I used the minimum that I could for the climb. Strava: http://app.strava.com/activities/344274116 Sadly I am struggling to get the forum to load and work here, so will expand upon it when I get back.

So was mine - several times unfortunately:( The fact that there was a battery in the box didn't seem to make any difference.

Evening Jim,

You are one of the few - an unhappy Rose customer.

I've been more fortunate, the bike has never had to go back and it's three years old now, so probably never will have to.

I still find it odd Rose no longer produce ebikes - they make every other type of bike.

Hi Rob,

The bike itself was superb, unfortunately the BionX system was not. Just for info, Rose do still produce ebikes although I think all have Bosch centre motor systems. I'm glad you're happy with your bike, I only wish the drive on mine had been as good as the bike.

Jim
