I use the full HD (1080) and "anti-shake" along with 5 minute segment and HDR (high dynamic range) settings enabled, otherwise settings are left to default.
I'll post up a sample video clip later.
Hi, Can you explain to me the segment settings... Not sure what that setting does.

I'm going to have a to play with mounting the camera on the bike, and I guess that this short section from about a week ago is as good as any to use for reference. So I'll try it again next week.

This was taken with the chest mount, but I have no idea currently what the settings on the camera were. I'll have to take a look later.
The chest mount is fine, until like this, you lean forward to ride downhill. The vibration level still seems very high to me though.

As an aside, this ride bagged a KOM without using any assist. :)

This could also be another good one to try. You can see how bumpy that it was from the counter. This was another KOM attempt, that I have spent two years trying to get. I'm in second spot, but need to gain an impossible 15 seconds, and have now given up. The KOM was set about three years ago, when the track was pretty much smooth. It's now washed out and horrid to ride. My average speed down it was 18mph, and I need an average of 23mph, just to be even. It'll still be a good one to try different camera mounting positions though. :)

You can see by the handlebars that there are lots of small jumps and hollows.

The settings menu allows 1,3 or 5 minute segments to be recorded or you can record constant. You don't get a gap between segments when viewed.
I use the 5 minute setting to easily select a (time stamped) segment and keep the file sizes sensible.

Here is a 5 minute video segment of a bit of this afternoons ride. A sample from my SJ4000 with the anti-shake setting enabled, not all that effective but mounted on the handlebars and taking a pummeling.
I may consider a chest mount but I rather like the shaking effect as it does mirror what my eyes were experiencing at the time[emoji16]

I use 720P and anti-shake settings along with high quality.
I find it gives good quality video but quite a bit smaller file sizes than 1080 so quicker to load and edit.

I could have used a helmet and goggles like yours when following those landrovers as they were throwing up stones at me... I don't think they knew I was there!

As a comparison to the SJ4000, here is a clip captured on my cheapo mini F9 bullet cam (helmet mounted) earlier last week...

And for comedy value a short clip (captured on helmet mounted mini F9 bullet cam) of me taking a tumble because I had trouble getting free of my clip less pedals. I was wearing some new SPD boots and had not tightened the SPDs into the sole enough so they just moved around and would not release!
I was also testing a new drop post, an RSP cable operated system which @£55 is a fraction of the cost of the reverb models but still does the job [emoji6]

I did just same the very first time that I rode clipless. Mine was pulling up to a junction of a busy A road. Thankfully a car driver saw it happen, turned around and made sure that I was okay. I couldn't get off the bike!:D It did hurt though.

Ref the crash, you are in good company.;)

Ouch! That was a crash at speed!
The silly thing is that I have used Shimano MT shoes with never a problem but these new muddy fox (cheap as they were on offer) boots are nowhere near as good.
I'm back on clips at the minute as I'm discovering some new trails and want to be able to ensure I can get my foot down if needed.
I hope I'll never be in the position to upload a video of a real crash though (never say never)

I really like riding clipless, but because of a twisted knee injury that just won't heel, I'm probably going to switch to flats for a while. I'm not that keen on the idea though.

I'm another that uses Shimano footware.

I have a pair of these, which seem to be my go to choice. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-mw81-gore-tex-winter-mtb-spd-boots-2015/rp-prod66829 These are lovely and comfy, but stink! Being Gore-Tex they are brilliantly waterproof, but equally they act as a swimming pool when wading in them etc. The water can't obviously escape, and they never really dry out that easily. I still really rate them though.

And a pair of these, which have now pretty much fallen apart. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-m064-mtb-spd-shoes-2014/rp-prod69966 The falling apart is of no fault of the shoe, as they are nearly three years old, and have put up with more soakings than I care to remember.

Ref the crash, that was the one that split my helmet.

It wasn't the crash that made be chuckle, but that awesome soundtrack accompanying the video.

What was it that made you lose control?
Only watched on phone screen and difficult to see the point of launch :p
