Just a very short clip from this evening, showing the SJ400 at night time with just a 1 cree light. The rear light of the lad in front has distracted from it. Normally we wouldn't have the rear lights on as they are too bright for the following rider, but tonight we were both too lazy to turn them off.

A little slippery and wet.

Sadly I couldn't really say without seeing it.

I suspect that it might not be covered by warranty as you hope that it might be. :(
It's probably considered a wear part, and being an off road bike and subject to extremes of riding conditions and cleaning techniques, I doubt it'll be covered.

I've not looked at my trouble free DT Swiss 350, but I guess that you simply undo it from behind. There must be loads of YouTube clips showing it. You would also be better off asking in the following section, rather than in the gallery thread. There are probably many forum users that don't look at this thread, but would the technical section.
http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/forums/technical.16/

All the info that you need though, can be found here. http://www.crankbrothers.com/produc...ne-2/cobalt-iodine-xd-freehub-install-service

One thing that I would say, I'd have removed the disc to save both contaminating it with grease, or possibly bending it.

Had a good chilled ride this morning, just out exploring the local forests.

there is not 1 vid of the crank brothers xd hub i can find and according to the instructions it just slides off.

it wont only thing i can think of is the paddle pins are bent inside the wheel thus will not come off.

ill have to take it to the bike shop that does hi end bikes n see what they say but its not looking good :(

a word of warning if you have 1 of these on ur bike do not go jumping on it as if i went up forest every day it would be dead again in not even 4 weeks.

they just not designed for it and there a rip off as well. and fail even on normal bikes let alone the weight of mine

in total it has cost 120 quid to fix this and will be changing wheel set soon as i can afford it.

Hello everyone! It's been a while. I've hardly been out this year on my electric bike for various reasons (and not that I don't still love it!). Here's a few pics from my ride on Tuesday, north of Llandovery in mid Wales. Please excuse that they are not the usual quality as I took them on my phone.

I've wanted to cycle this valley ever since I took a camper van down it several years ago. I think it's stunningly beautiful.

My 23 mile ride was not without it's hills. I climbed many hairpins, with one part that had a double and single arrow consectutively marked on the OS map and was named the Devil's Staircase! This is a mere trifle of a single arrow stretch.

The joy of being in such wonderful countryside is indescribable.

The most remote part of my ride. There's so much barren but beautiful nothingness out here. Hardly any farms even. I didn't even pass one car on the road you see in the distance.

The start of Llyn Brianne reservoir, viewed from yet another hill!

Getting up the 1 in 4 on the way back finished me off. About three quarters of the way up I just gave in and flopped on the ground by the side of the road. A few minutes later a motorbike approached and I think I must have looked a bit pooped and my wave of hello interpreted as a weak gesture for help, for the biker attempted to stop to see if I was alright. However, the poor chap misjudged the camber on the already ridiculously steep road and toppled over sideways, in slow motion, but still too fast to get to him in time to stop the calamity. One heavy Honda on the ground and an unhurt and very noble German biker. I helped him get the bike up and was very relieved when it did finally start. I thought my exhausted body would have to ride off at speed for help otherwise!

So good to see you back out on the bike again TK. I'm sure that I wouldn't be alone in saying that you have been missed. :)

As usual, a brilliant write up, superb photos, and stunning scenery. I'd almost forgotten what your bike looked like. ;)

I'm hoping to be down in October, so perhaps we can finally get to have that ride together.
