I hope the area fits here somewhat, because I'm not sure whether we have what more appropriate? It is here very briefly to the conversion of the rear disc brake of Haibike XDURO AllMtn RX 2015 which stock a 180mm XT disc has it. As we in another thread issues had been looking for the appropriate adapter, I would like to briefly share my findings here. There is some confusion, which adapter should now fit exactly, either the SM-MA-F180P / P2, the SM-MA-F203P / PM or the SM-MA90-F203P / PM. According Overview (adapter insert table) should in a PM7 Mount behind supposedly the SM-MA-F180P / P2. In Bike24 I have read, however. "To use a 203 mm brake disc on a 180 mm recording the frame you need the adapter SM-MA90-F203P / P" Then I think of something but then the SM-MA90-F203P / P ordered. After the adapter today arrived with the same disk the first big surprise. On the adapter packaging of SM-MA90-F203P / P is given as a front adapter! It remains unclear in technical supplement is "P203-P / PM are adapters that allow the use of 203mm brake discs on the framework that have been designed for 180mm discs." Since I was fully confused again! I then nevertheless made an attempt and the all fitted with the SM-MA90-F203P / P and behold, seemingly match. (See photos) As it stands, the lining fits on the disc without stand tall above or below. Also the brake result is significantly better than expected. Here it was said yes, a difference from a 180mm disc would hardly noticeable, but this is not so. In my weight of almost 100KG I can say that much tighter pulling the new disc and also the tires audibly rubber bremmst, which was not so fast with the old. As the larger disk accesses already much better and it remains a mystery to me why manufacturers resort for a couple of euros is not equal to the big screen. So if you want the car tag, I can say here, at Mount PM7 back you need the SM -MA90-F203P / P adapter, even when often what else is to be read in the net.

I came down a steep descent and I roasted the 180mm disc so that it would make the sound of a whale seeking a mate whenever I wanted to slow down. I asked my dealer if it was possible to increase the size to 200mm to provide greater cooling but they could not get it to fit. I replaced the disc with another 180mm and am more careful now. I am not sure how a bigger disc will give you greater stopping performance as the contact area will be identical, perhaps some slight torque advantage. For greater grab go sintered.
As my father often says - "You have a bigger disc. It's called your wheel rim. There plenty of time for the rim to cool as it rotates and thus keep the temperatures down and better braking efficiency." (He doesn't ride bicycles though, so he doesn't understand the appeal of disc brakes in the wet!)

Nice to hear that you managed to get it all working in the end though don't pretend to understand how. Also a bit confused with the photos, one shows a bike with Avid brakes and the other with Shimano brakes. Obviously missed part of the discussion somewhere, not that it really matters as the post layout would have been the same for both systems.

Neither did I having not experienced disc brakes before 3 weeks ago. The burn marks and blisters on my fingers from Monday night's commute are testament to this! I'd have thought you'd have known better by now with your bike though.:p

thing is tho the bigger the rotor the more it can warp bend when its hot so will need to get some 2pc rotors than the ones on it.

rear 1 is a cheap 8 quid 1 and its going already as lasted as long to bed in the rotor and its warping already.

buy cheap buy twice ;)

Hello there, I've just started reading some of the Off Road posts and thought I'd say hello :)
I have been riding Mtb for over 25 years now and after buying my wife a step thro Pedelec became interested in E-Mtb's...... a lot of research and a trip to Wales, Coed Y Brenin trail center, to hire a Trek Powerfly+9 for a day I finally bought myself the Trek as a 50th birthday present.
It is fantastic, it has made riding soooo much more fun.
Since buying the Trek a month ago I have covered over 220 miles off road including a couple of 40 milers around the Purbecks, Forest of Dean trail center and Bike park Wales Trail center.
The only thing I've done to the bike is swap the tyres out for more aggressive tubeless ones
Happy days

Had a little ride out in the countryside today as it was a nice day and got my first puncture in 2600 miles, luckily it was a front one and took 5 minutes to fix with a scab.
It was in the middle of the tread but strangely, there was nothing in the tyre.
It happened on a rubble covered bridleway so once fixed I pushed the bike back out and took a different route.
I rode the old C2C route from Crawleyside but could only go a few miles then it was closed off for the grouse shooting.

Had a ride over Barningham Moor the day before it closed for the grouse season and did a video of part of it.
Ignore the wrong title, too many brandies while editing it!

After Crawleyside I had a quick look over to Bollihope old quarry but as it was full of kids I just rode along and back for a quick video and will tackle it properly once they have gone back to school.

After an amazing ride on Wednesday with my ride buddy, I went tonight for an equally superb ride in the rain and mud. There were pretty tough conditions tonight. https://www.strava.com/activities/369008956

I can't wait for winter, with my favourite riding conditions. :)

A sight that will have Kudos, and Oxygen owners on their pretend mtb's running indoors for cover.

Start of the ride.

Look at the brake caliper and rear shock. Cooking tonight. The only dry parts of the bike. I'm surprised by just how warm that the rear shock gets.
