The route could be shortened to omit the descent. Bit fiddly on that site, on PC at least. The green is the height, the red line is the gradient.

Ah so it has its un-'moment'ums then, It sure stretched the foot and ankle tendons when pushing yer bike up itThe green is the height, the red line is the gradient.
The right for ebikers to slow all other traffic while we zipzag all over the road uphill to save our tired legs should be enshrined in law.Ah so it has its un-'moment'ums then, It sure stretched the foot and ankle tendons when pushing yer bike up it
Thankfully i can elect to take the hill down on the way into the city and return a slightly more staged climb in 2 more manageable and longer runs. even tho my bike can climb it , its not a happy bike experience crowning at 8mph in 3rd gear and full assistance.. (a fitter cyclist could input more im sure)
I had seen similar graphics referenced in posts but not the link to the tool before.. Perhaps F1 and a lil rtfm is due..
okDoesn't the red line indicate relief/height map? In which case it might start like a 35 degree slope - shorten the endpoint to the first hump, if the mappomatic website allows that short a distance. Or shorten the journey to the middle of that distance, before the long descent, whatever that distance measurement that is, it's a bit small to read. Screenshot with the fondleslab oriented sideways should enlarge the text.
Doh! I think I've been awake too long.
Yes the bike purchase comes with 30 days of free insurance by Laka. So after that expires I'll either go with them or find a better option. I contacted Joe and the Juice cafe in Guildford as I'd quite like to plan a cycling trip there and they are ok with me wheeling the bike into the building which is quite spacious and can easily accommodate it. I thought that was nice of them.Hope you enjoy the new bike, as long as it suits you and brings a smile to your face all is good..
You mentioned security earlier.. Locks etc only go so far and a determined thief will find a way.. insurance is your best backup, try adding to a home policy for the best vfm
