Correct me if I'm wrong - @Woosh you ordered some TSDZ2 Turbo but you don't know exactly what they are yet?
I think they are worth a new discussion thread on there own.

Friend sent me photo of BBS02 fitted to the same frame that I have, see attached file.
If TSDZ2 turbo has same size gear compartment this could be what I need. Do we know dimensions? Is there some CAD info/file available yet?

I used CYC Photon fitment template and I know that motor would fit. But price of it is a bit "crazy" for DIY, it is not very repairable and it is still in first generation.

When I get delivery, I will start another thread.

@Woosh, until Aikema people (or someone) makes fitment template can you please ask your contact to measure radius from the photo? What I would like to know is it the same as BBS02B
I am really interested in this motor because of torque sensing, and I would wait for it if it can fit my bike.

On the other hand, if it does not fit I have to go BBS02 route, obviously (post above).

Thanks for a favor.

I did. Still waiting for reply.

I did ask tongsheng for the drawings but have not received any reply yet. The photos suggest that it's similar to the bbs.

@Woosh few questions about new TSDZ2turbo, if you know:
1. Who will be selling these motors beside PSWPower? I am interested in ordering to EU
2. Do they use same programming cable as regular TSDZ2?
3. Will they be offering them with various displays? I read on italian forum that other displays work.
4. Do they use the same controller, will open source firmware work there as well?

I do not know if you have such info, if you do please share? Maybe on new thread.

Thanks!

I don't know much about Tongsheng resellers in the EU to be honest. I reckon it will be soon available from ciclotek in Italy, China elifebike in France and Germany.

2. Do they use same programming cable as regular TSDZ2?
I think probably for both controllers, up to 500W and up to 750W.

yes. I assume people familiar with OSF will quickly sovle this.

If the turbo controller is any thing like some of the latter tsdz2 controllers then the OSF may not work on them.

It's great that the manufacturer Tonsheng has rated and certified the TSDZ2 Turbo 250W and EN15194, as required for UK legality. I look forward to seeing strides made in the development of Open Source Firmware for this new motor - if the TSDZ2 Turbo proves at least as well made, robust, customisable, and reliable as the BBSXX(X) series at a lower or same price, I think it's certain to attract that market. I have no use for torque sensing, cadence sensing suits me, but I expect I will be able to switch and customise modes, either using the official firmware or whatever alternative firmware eventually becomes available.

TSDZ2 fitment template exists, one user on the FB group made it. I am attaching PDF version to this post too. I tried it and TSDZ2 cannot fit my bike, chainstay problem.

Very nice, I saved a copy for myself. By the way, the diagram doesn't show three bosses on the cover ring, used for mounting screws on the cover.

One of them would hit the chainstay and prevented me from setting the motor in the best position.. I filed it down.

Interesting. Post a photo please. What is the year of your frame? Mine is 2016.

Did you measure ruler to confirm scale? I printed template and tried on my Attention and it looks different.

I didn't take a pictures. Bike is in the shed, it is dark and raining.
Bike is so old I don't remember year. It looks like this one:

Mine is 27.5

When I tried template, result was similar to your friends Bafang. I would say inconclusive. It might or might not fit. Maybe worst case scenario an o ring would help. Your template shows a no go, but you must print template right.

I will try with new TSDZ2 Turbo motor. Check attachments. I enlarged photo from catalogue and with its measures I did 1:1 template. Seems like much better fit, because it is very close in size with BBS02 (comparison attached as well)
