which picture are you taking about? Is it this one?

You and Alex keep calling this part 'the stator in a machined housing'.
Are you two connected because you both make the same mistake?
It's not a stator. This part rotates, that's why it has a ballbearing attached to it, and is called the rotor. The stator is the fixed part that has a copper wire and generates the magnetic field. This type of motors is called inrunner because the rotor is inside the stator.

what crap are you talking now. i just looked back he calls that a rotor and its what it clearly is. does that look like a machined housing or a stator to you

I think if you look again you will see it says DM-01 and 02
I know you are not an engineer so this is really really difficult for you to comprehend. But these motors were designed by the same engineer.. therefore he has taken what he has learned from his previous work..

did you attack the same man when he upgraded his designs previously.. did you ask him for proof back then.. you know on the motors he designed that you are still selling.. no you didn't

Where is my proof.. take a look at these ROTORS and use your uneducated best guess on power producing ability

And here is a post about how much you love his previous work but his new work is so upsetting for you

what crap are you talking mate

is it your stator? if so, which rotor fits? the old one or new one?

Any idea why woosh is claiming i called a rotor a stator then its there for all to see what i wrote?
it was a simple mix-up. Oztrikes repeated your line 'The stator is tightly fitted into a machined housing now.'

This is what he wrote:
"There's a picture of the stator in a machined housing. , Is that enough for it not to be a copy for you mate? At what point does it not become a copy to you?. as with the discussion early on and then your admission that you are not an engineer just a bike technician, patent law or mechanical engineering doesn't seem to be your forte "

I did not recall that you posted any picture of the stator on this thread. The only picture that I saw in one of your posts was of two rotors. So I asked him 'Do you mean that one?'

So he said 'what crap are you talking mate?'

It's difficult to pay attention to people who fill their writing with swear words so I did not read his post properly.
I still cannot find your own post with a picture of your stator. The picture of the stator oztrikes posted was presumably not yours but his. Can you kindly repost the picture of your current stator and rotor to avoid this kind of mixups?

Id respectfully ask that people keep in mind that often information is written by people whos first language is not English and they have tried really hard.

Id be surprised if anyone on here is capable of Chinese at anything approaching that level. So i see no need disparaging public comments.

While i welcome constructive feedback i ask you keep in mind the sensitivities around such a topic. This is an example of something that could have been broached in a much more polite way.

Thanks
That's interesting because I couldn't see anything wrong with the English, it was the content and ideas that were completely wrong. If you'd like to put me in touch with the person that wrote it, I can help them a lot. Everything in every blog post was a bit superficial. The one on batteries was a complete waste of time. I don't think it was much help to anybody that wanted to buy an ebike, motor or battery. It had irrelevant technical stuff and hardly anything about what ordinary people would need to know. There was one blog that wasn't too bad, say 8/10, but I give about 3/10 to most of them.

Thanks for your response, and thanks for clearing that up. I appreciate it.

The stator is from a DM-02 you can match it to the picture i posted of the rotor, its obvious by the poles

You can see there is no air gap. Giving an overall improvement on thermals and performance

I will be honest it was late at night and i didn't give any time to read it. I currently have no input on the website and had not seen this i think it must be quite new. Maybe i come across as defensive and i probably am

We are a small, close knit very hard working team. It isnt easy to start up a new company and bring new products to market, often in start-ups you have people doing jobs outside their normal roles. The person working on the website has a lot of other work she's doing and is working really hard. I have a lot of appreciation for the work shes putting in.

I understand your feedback and i have written you a PM

Thanks

the air gap we have problem with in the TSDZ2 is between the motor and the system housing.
In most crank drive motors, the motor housing has cooling fins and is in direct contact with the outside air for better cooling.
It's not the case with the TSDZ2 and your DM02 which are housed inside the system housing. The improvement we are calling for is to add a thermal bridge between the motor and the system housing or alternatively, replace the system housing to expose the motor housing.

BTW, the pictures of the rotors and stators in this thread does not say much for manufacturing quality and ability, not the best material and finishing from China.

can you be more specific?

This is what I am talking about:
Thermal Putty Kit for TSDZ2 - Eco Cycles
With thermal putty packed around your TSDZ2 motor core, the air gap between it and the housing/case/cover that previously acted as insulation is bridged, allowing the heat to spread from the motor, through the putty, to the housing/case/cover and out into the air, for increased cooling, allowing you to run higher power levels continuously. This is an absolute MUST when using Open Source Firmware!

care to elaborate for all the members here and give your expert opinion on the quality of materials used and the finishing?
