They are very good and superbly stable, but don't expect them be dead square and accurate in build. Neither of mine are, but for that price, you can't go wrong.
They also work well for when carrying the bike in the back of a van.
Today, the last chance before winter settles in to make it to the top of Hay Bluff.1st pic shows where we're heading. 2nd and 3rd pic en route and the last pic at the top. Hugely powerful winds made the trip along the edge interesting!
You have made me feel decidedly cold with those photos.

Have had it for almost two weeks now and used it every single day, really love that bike. It is like made for me that likes exploring the terrain.

Where is your bike in the photos ? That's the most important thing, not the scenery.
Photo quality is very good but as IR772 says, you need your bike in the pics.
Well that is the final event out of the way for this year, and also my final post for a while.
Brilliant to meet up with a couple of the KTM lads to complete the 32 mile ride with, although sadly I took a heavy fall at about 30mph whilst riding point. I lost the front of the bike on a blind bend and it was game over, just a shower of flint and dirt flown everywhere. Frustratingly we were only 7 miles into the ride, and judging by the pain, swelling and bleeding to both my knee and wrist, I should have called it a day then. The last 5 miles were very tough, and even on the hills I was being matched by pedal riders.
I have since learned that the bend is notorious, and one poor lad in the past, managed to fall on the same bend, and had a stick go through his throat! I think that I got off lightly. The irony was that I had intended to take the full suspension bike, but decided against it as it needs two new tyres, and I didn't want to end up on my backside!!
I don't think that I warmed up at any point during the ride, and misty rain prevailed. Very good to catch up with old friends though.
More expense, one bent lever and broken mount. Just glad that I always carry some Haibike ties with me. The braking for the remainder of the ride wasn't at it's best, but at least I still had some.
The three amigos, along with one slightly split nose.

pleased your okay, just cuts and bruises and nothing broken. (Except an easily replaced brake lever).Sounds like a fast one that caught you by surprise, they are the hardest and scariest, as you barely brace for the impact!
A few achy days ahead I'd imagine, so wishing you speedy recovery fella.
Some consolation is that it has taken a cold turn out there hasn't it. Put yer feet up in front of the fire

"Wimping out" for winter! Not a chance, the eMTB riding season is only just beginning.
I shall still be trying to get out riding three to four evenings/nights a week in all weather conditions, commuting off road to work twice a week, and getting in at least one daylight ride over the weekends as well.
This seasons winter riding might actually prove more intense, as I'm in the early stages of progressing forward a world record setting hill/mountain climbing ride, which potentially would never be repeated. It has escalated from a 15 mile off road climb with a 5 miles of it through a railway tunnel, to a 750 mile off road/on road ride! The latter wasn't my idea and I'm still not convinced about it, but with an estimated 5K of sponsorship money up for grabs before I have even started from one individual, I'm struggling to say no. I'll pm you about that one at some stage, but suspect that you might be able to work out what final destination of the ride is.
I also have 25 litres of 'free' Muc-Off on it's way, courtesy of a very kind company, so need to get the bike beyond it's current level of just being a bit dusty! Instagram and FB do have their uses.
Lastly... Some time back I was given the kind opportunity to help field test a component for a company, so once again the bike needs to be out and being used in all conditions.
Planning the ride one of the reasons for stepping away from the forum for a short period, as I need to be focussed on moving things forward with it, and get things set in stone. There is also a forum member that is proving to be an itch that I can't scratch, and I'm fed up of viewing their crap.
Thanks for the kind words Darren. I'm certainly a bit stiff and achy this morning, and I seem to be modelling three knee caps, and more bruises than I knew about yesterday, plus a large lump on the head. I hadn't noticed yesterday that I had split my helmet slightly when I hit the deck. That is the second one to split in the space of as many years. I'm not convinced that helmet peaks are actually a good thing, and they certainly add risk to jarring your neck in event of a fall.
Anyway, time to get out and wash the bike, I didn't feel much like it yesterday.

Ok Eddie. A bit more the wiser now. Good luck with your event and I look forwards to sending some sponser money too. Don't expect £5k though!
I'm thinking full face helmet for us when we do more adventurous stuff. Maybe one would have helped you?
