Hi Danno, and thanks Flecc and Eddie,

There is a lot of hot air being blown at the moment on this subject, it's down to a discrepancy between UK and European law. In my capacity as chairman of BEBA I will reporting in the next few days about the work we, with Flecc's invaluable assistance, have been doing at the highest levels to resolve the situation.

Please don't worry, your 905sel is perfectly legal and as Flecc says like all our bikes has been certified to EN15194 by SGS laboratories of France.

Best regards

David

It would take a miracle or underhand practice to change the winner at this stage though!
Here's a thought (too late?)... we have 2 vans delivering e-bikes up and down the country during the week... how about we drop a HAiBiKE FS and a KOGA E-Comfort (my favorite) and a Sparta RXS LIGHT to all that have voted for a few days trials? Maybe Storck and other contenders can do same? Wouldn't that be fun? Maybe then vote?

You can't say fairer than that James! I think I know which would be the clear winner but some people are so perverse that they'd probably still vote for the the one they bought.

Although I voted for the Haibike which I consider is in a different league to the Storck, I know what you mean about the Koga. They do build some great machines and I could be happy riding an E-Special......only with a discount, of course!

I doubt if many of your competitors will want to accept the challenge but given the way some people voted when the poll qualification was essentially, "money no object", there's every chance that Cyclamatic or something equally basic could win another poll.

My ebike of the year 2012 sofar!lol is latest 36v Panasonic Swiss flyer X series, which is supposed to be unbelievable...and it wants to be at twice the price of a Haibike..But in a money no object poll it is the one. New 36v pana is 250 watt (old 300 watt) and has none of idiosyncrasy's of the 26v system. It pulls like a train and is more like the Bosch power unit......The only downside as far as I can see is the price

Now you've done it even more people are voting.

Folks read the heading this was for bike of 2011 and is a almost 12 months old thread.

Every time I see this thread, it reminds me how fickle people can be.
