I know loads of people who spend big on plugins, but can they make a nice tune? Hell no, it's nearly all crap. I mostly use these and older paid for VSTs:

you don't own anything any more and if it is out of date and cant be updated it goes in the bin.

my m8s cheap bike can kick my ass speed wise but any bumps the chain falls off because of the chain line at that speed over bumps.
