Quote of the day. "The shortage of trucks in the UK is down to a lack of articulated politicians"
The politicians we have often seem more concerned about their danglers.Denis the Menace #FBPA #FBPPR #MVM #FBPE

Seem to be a few countries missing - any more above us?Latest Covid deaths per million chart
There's 12 listed above us for cases per million of population.Seem to be a few countries missing - any more above us?
Peruvians probably feel most comfortable up there, living at high altitude is the norm for them.

Delighted to hear this.As I reported when the restrictions were relaxed, there was quite a lot of non mask wearing among customers in week one at my Sainsbury's large superstore and all the staff were unmasked. Things has changed a lot now though.
The early sign saying customers didn't need to mask was replaced a while ago by one encouraging customers to mask if they could to continue to protect others. And on both visits this week, today's being exceptionally busy with the car park and store both quite full, I failed to see a single unmasked customer. Even all the staff members I saw were masked, clearly the management have taken the hint from we customers who have mostly continued to mask.
.
I had to visit bank last week. Lady I saw said more customers are now wearing masks than before lifting of restrictions. Said they were having far less arguments than when they tried to enforce requirement. Good old British attitude. Tell us to do something. No chance.. Suggest it might be better and we oblige. Think Flecc has been telling us this for nearly 2 years now.. Ahwell.. Live and learn.Peru seems to be far and away worst hit
But that's outdoors OG, far less risk in open air. The real importance of masks is to protect others in enclosed air spaces like shops where there's less potential for distant displacement of expelled air. The air we breath out has been warmed so is likely to rise, out of harms way outdoors. In Hull today on Pearson Park, literally hundreds of people and a Chess festival
Only one mask in sight ...mine
Ah me...
I've never had any Covid test, all my efforts are defensive, following my lifelong rule that primary safety is infinitely better than secondary. Are any of you doing lateral flow tests a couple of times a week?
Depending where you look, some government pages seem to suggest we should all be doing so. Others limit by considering various factors.
Well I have had 4 . Each was in advance of and linked with hospital procedures. However my view is that Tests should be discontinued, and resources devoted to vaccination. There must be competition between making vaccines and administering them and collecting the materials including vials plastics and reagents for the tests ,I've never had any Covid test, all my efforts are defensive, following my lifelong rule that primary safety is infinitely better than secondary.
