I think you mean euphoric.

I doubt this possible infection will have made him more enthusiastic about the European project. :)
.
Many a true word spoken in jest or error . Europhoric would be proof positive that he has lost it..but maybe he could infect BJ , and create an epidemic in Brexiteers . Whats not to like!.

He’s going to win though and ultimately it’s only the winning which counts.

Nobody remembers the loses, unless they are a sour loser and then they are remembered for all the wrong reasons. Hillary Clinton for example.

Trump is a stupid man. Whenever he speaks he comes over as being of low intelligence. For him to be in the running for re-election, that shows how appalling the alternative is. A bit like our election last year.
Not really. Stupid men do damage. That's what's remembered. Were still paying for Thatcher and Blair's damage. Off course stupid men dont remember the damage, all that matter for them and other single celled organisms is winning, at any cost, ethically or materially.
Edit, and are we and future generations going to pay for the ******* damage boris and brexit and those who voted for it did.

Well, there's a surpise. I'd never have thought of it...

NHS faces drug shortages as Brexit stockpile used in Covid crisis
NHS Provider in England said Brexit could conjure ‘perfect storm’ of problems in winter

I care very much about the medicines I (and partner) take. Mine are manufactured in the UK. But there is no information as to where the raw ingredients, incuding the active paharmaceutical ingredient, come from. I strongly suspect EU for some of them.

At the same time, EU pharmacies appear to have stopped recognising UK prescriptions. (Confirmed for France, likely Germany and elsewhere in the very near future.) So that cuts off another possible route some fo us use.
A concern for me also. The European Medical Board is getting around to authorising Trifacta , a superdrug for CF, and I suspect it is being manufactured in NI .

Not at all Corbyn was character assassinated, and dumb people voted for the Conservatives, probably the silliest thing anyone considering themselves of even average intelligence could have done, and hasn't that decision worked out well?

Trump is not going to win this time, unless Biden catches Covid too.
Polls give Biden 10% more than Trump, comparatively, 5% more than Clinton at the same point in time.
Moreover, this time FB is much more vigilant regarding personalised ads. Trump's camp won't be able to repeat the same deterrence campaign like they did to Clinton's voters. That's 16% of black American and Latino votes.

I think we have come to understand that polls are wildly Inaccurate. Never in the history of mankind has anything less accurate, less useful and less honest ever been created.

Polls can be wrong when the margin is narrow like the brexit referendum but rarely wrong when the polls margin is 10% or more.
After last Tuesday debate, the gap between Biden and Trump grew wider, to 12%.

Coming from someone who voted for boris, that's ironic. Really ironic.
Incidentally, 76 deaths today, 14k new infections, 200 new hospital admissions (up to about 2700), soon covid will be killing more than cancer (about 450 a day) again

I still think it’s a numbers game.

there are 30k of under 50s not presenting themselves for preventable cancer treatment gone missing this year.

we should be doing both. I have no idea why they didn’t use the nightingale hospitals...oh yeah. They had the beds but not the nurses.

its not good either way but long term someone should make the decision on an 80 year old with underlying conditions or a 32 year old with young children.

as it stands the stats say we can’t do both.
It’s the under 50s who are acting selfishly, irresponsibly and recklessly. They think Covid doesn’t affect them. Well you have just illustrated that it does. It affects everyone of all ages. We all have a responsibility to make a few very minor sacrifices and adjustments to our way of living, but many are incapable of even doing that without going into meltdown.

The Covid knock-on affects are just a case of TSB (tough $hit baby). Should have thought about that before cramming onto Brighton Beach, into bars and attending other large social gatherings.

I don’t care, they can fill they boots, but please can they stop whinging about their self inflicted situation.

That’s just the warm-up act to the main event. We are going to be doing really big numbers very soon.

Partly the government’s fault for lack of leadership, partly the idiot general public’s fault for behaving like arse-holes during a pandemic.

I don’t think people realise how devastating this disease is if you happen to have a bad reaction to it. With or without any risk factors. The long term affects are terrible

A second lockdown won’t work. May as well take the brakes off and put this thing into free fall.

Just been to a very large Tesco store, things happening there alright. Barriers across part of the entrance so you can only enter one way - only one lift in operation - stairs now blocked off, never seen that before - exit through one small door one way only. People standing just inside compelling you wear a mask, no mask ? bugger off then.
Security backup on standby if needed, very tight restrictions. They [Tesco] are obviously gearing up for a lockdown soon so want to ease it in beforehand, wise move.

I remain unconvinced, but, if he has it, the steroid treatment will have made him europhoric
I heard someone on the radio this morning saying they had been given steroid treatment in hospital, and that it does indeed make you feel 20 years younger. He did not say how long the feeling lasts or if you feel 20 years older when the steroid has left your system.

Around March/April time this year I watched an article on one of the American TV News channels and they said most of the raw ingredients in pharmaceuticals come mainly from China and to a lesser extent India. I have not done any checking to see if they were correct, but I would imagine that they are.

I hope you are right and if Biden was up against anyone else but someone like Trump then I am sure you would be right. Trump will do anything to win, and I mean anything, it does not matter if that means something illegal, or un constitutional or something that endangers others he just does not care. My guess is that he and his people around him have probably broken many laws and the only way this will stay hidden and him and his mates stay out of prison is to win the next election, so they will do everything they can to do just that.

A pollster was talking on Bloomberg today saying that Biden had a substantial lead over Trump when it came to people who intended to vote by post, but the numbers were reversed when it came to people who intended to vote in person.

So I can see a scenario that Trump will be a fair bit ahead the day after the election when most of the in person votes have been counted. He can then stir up some trouble by alleging postal voter fraud (he has already suggested to some of his supporters to try and create this type of fraud) to discredit the system.

If after all the votes have been counted and Biden wins, then Trump goes to court complaining about the postal votes being rigged. The case will eventually end up in the Supreme Court where he will by then have a 6 to 3 majority. They will rule in his favour and he gets another 4 years.

I think the best chance Biden has got of winning is if he gets a really big majority if he wins by just getting over the line, Trump will kick up such a fuss, it ends up in court and the world suffers Trump for another 4 years.

Sadly, I have a horrible feeling you have hit the nail on the head.

One possible (unlikely though) twist is that the Supreme Court actually take their legal responsibilities seriously and let it override their political opinions.

the Supreme Court's justices have taken an oath to defend the constitution.
Frauds in postal votes make up less than 0.1%. The Justices will have no problem with the count.
After Al Gore asked for votes in Florida to be recounted 3 times, the Supreme Court decided in favour of Bush. The problem wasn't that the justices voted for their party, it's because Gore did not win clearly any of the recount.
